Does anyone know if cuprofen (a ibuprofen tablet maximum strengh) cause any problems with the pill.?

Answer:
i dont think so its not a antibiotic
I have never heard of that interacting with the pill, but antibiotics can mess it up. Call your local pharmacy and ask them, they will be glad to help you.
No, it shouldn't. Only ani-biotics cause trouble and causes the pill to become ineffective.
I doubt it. I was recommended to take this last week by my local chemist, he is very knowledgeable and if there was any chance of it affecting the pill, I'm sure he would have advised me. It is just a painkiller.
The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.

Disturbances of the gut such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion or abdominal pain

Bleeding from the stomach or intestine

Stomach or duodenal ulcer

Retention of water in the body tissues (fluid retention), resulting in swelling (oedema)

Headache

Dizziness

Depression

Confusion

Drowsiness

Balance disorders involving the inner ear (vertigo)

Sensation of ringing or other noise in the ears (tinnitus)

Visual disturbances

Abnormal reaction of the skin to light, usually a rash (photosensitivity)

Allergic reactions such as severe skin rashes, swelling of the lips, tongue and throat (angioedema) or narrowing of the airways (bronchospasm)

Kidney, liver or blood disorders
Cuprofen is a 400mg table which is the same dose and taking two of the regular (it makes no difference how). I used take ibuprofen regularly and I am on the pill and there is no interaction. Cuprofen will not stop the pill working.
no u should be fine.antibiotics are the ones to watch.
They are fine to take with the pill, you dont need to worry about any medicine really (even antibiotics) if you are on a progesterone only pill.
