Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have very bad nasal conjestion, I'm alegic to dogs and dust, however my nose may still be plugged and runny even wen neither eof the two are around. Its just really annoying because i am always blowing my nose, and ofen i cannot breath through my nose, and often i have trouble smelling when my nose is unplugged, maybe because i dont use my nose very often and mainly breath through my mount. If there is anything you know of that can help this please let me know... like any type of fruits that you can eat... anything...
Answer:
Have you ever gone to an Allergist to find out if you are allergic to anything else?

Allergy testing is easy - they take some blood and then call you in a week or two to tell you what you are allergic to.

Once you know all of the things you are allergic to, it will be easier to avoid those triggers. also an Allergist is a doctor, so they can offer treatments to help reduce or even eliminate your symptoms.

Have you tried any of the over-the-counter nasal decongestants? They can help to reduce symptoms sometimes, but if your symptoms are related to allergies it's better to treat the source (the allergy) rather than just the symptom (the congestion).

Hope that helps :-)
if this is allergies, it could be that when dogs and dust are not around, pathogens (the things that cause your allergies) are still stuck within your nasal cavities thus making you have a continuous nasal conjestion. however, from your description, i don't think that it's allergies. it seems that you might have sinusitis (sinus infection). you will need antibiotics so best bet is to see the doctor. if you're not so eager to see the doctor try steaming and use a little bit of menthol in the humidifier.
See your Dr. and ask for Astelin! It is a nasal spray that has worked wonders for my son that has awful allergies! It has a terrible taste, but that does not last very long and you will be able to breathe and taste! Good Luck
