Does marijuana make everyones heart beat faster, or is it just me?

I'm a daily smoker, have been for over a year, but I still get that little anxious feeling sometimes when my heart starts beating real fast and ****. Is it because there is a foreign chemical in our body so the heart beats faster to try and..damnit i don't know?
Answer:
Dude, it's the pot...I have smoked everyday for almost 5 or 6 years. Anxiety is part of the side effects of the drug. It effects everyone differently. It still to this day makes my heart beat a little faster, but truly, the more you smoke, the more your body gets used to the drug, therefore the side effects, like anxiety or rapid heartbeat lessen over time.
paranoia and red eys is part of it too, those are just 2 things I don't have to deal with anymore because I have smoked for so long. Anxiety comes hand in hand with the rapid heart beat because as soon as notice your heart beating a little faster you get anxious, some people just totally spazz out..OMG THERE'S SOME THING WRONG WITH MY HEART DUDE...Some people literally think they are having a heart attack. i promise it's just the pot, it will wear off over time... NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!! MARIJUANA DOES NOT LEAD TO DEATH UNLESS YOUR A COMPLETE MORON!!! DON'T LISTEN TO THESE FOOLS!!!
I think it does because your not getting enough oxygen, because you are inhaling smoke, so your heart says hey dude wheres the oxygen ?all I'm getting is smoke, let me pump faster to find more oxygen, the chemicals coat your lungs, makes them inefficient
Yeah, um, that's probably the paranoia.
Naw, just yours and Ice Cube (remember that part on Friday... LOL.

Craig: I think I hear my heart beating faster

Smokey: Aww man don't start trippin
Most people don't realize that marijuana is a stimulant. For people with high blood pressure, smoking can be very detrimental to their health.
Why are u smoking pot in the first place. It does make everyones heart beat faster which can often lead to death.
Yes everyone's heart beats faster when they smke mary jane. IT"S BECAUSE YOUR HIGH!
If Ur a guy, it will give you man breasts - seriously. And they will never go away.

The marijuana trade is (naturally) not monitored, so you could be smoking anything and not know it. How do you know that someone didn't add something else to it or soak the plants down with pesticides and such?

It's such a dangerous habit and drug dealers (the big guys) are only out to make a buck. They could care less who they hurt along the way.

Good luck. :)
It's called a rush...like when the marijuana hits your blood stream and starts to take effect..it's very fast, so your heart has to work harder, and faster.
Actually, what is happening is your brain is slowing down, creating the illusion that your heart is beating faster. Or maybe the doritos are clogging an artery, making the heart work harder.
more likely that there was something else in there besides the marijuana that is causing that. there's no way of knowing what the stuff you get is laced with.

that's the problem with illegal drugs; there's no FDA to look out and make sure they aren't full of nasty stuff you weren't expecting.
MARIJUANA IN YOUR BRAIN!!
baically no, for me it makes everything slow down, the only thing i can think of is that you are a daily, and your burnt out, you body is so used to it that it isnt really affected by it anymore, i like weed, and i hate it when people tell me this, but you should not do it soo much
If I were you I will stop smoking it. Unless your Dr. recommend you, it is not worthy to smoke it.
Stop smoking you are going to die! Because you have fast heart rate!
Yes it happens in everyone. Smoking is not a depressant like beer but a stimulant that speeds up the heart and increases alertness and wakefulness.
It's not you, it's inhaling the smoke and not taking in that much oxygen. The same thing happens with ciggarettes.
YOu can get a heart attack from it. Also depending on who is smoking you can also get very paranoid.
No idea!
When marijuana is smoked, its effects begin immediately after the drug enters the brain and last from 1 to 3 hours. If marijuana is consumed in food or drink, the short-term effects begin more slowly, usually in 1/2 to 1 hour, and last longer, for as long as 4 hours. Smoking marijuana deposits several times more THC into the blood than does eating or drinking the drug.

Within a few minutes after inhaling marijuana smoke, an individual's heart begins beating more rapidly, the bronchial passages relax and become enlarged, and blood vessels in the eyes expand, making the eyes look red. The heart rate, normally 70 to 80 beats per minute, may increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute or, in some cases, even double. This effect can be greater if other drugs are taken with marijuana.
