Does inhaling a very bad smell harm your body in any way?

Answer:
possibly depending on what it is your inhaling and how much of it. the body has some natural filtering of some things but given enough quantity, the body would not be able to get enough good air to stay functioning and one would pass out. Take car fumes for example. You breath them in all the time but if you were in a room of 80% car fumes, you'd pass out and die eventually within minutes. Things like bus fumes contain sulfer and that stuff can clog your lungs and over time could hamper your lung capacity. So its based on how much for how long. Read up on confined spaces OSHA standards. It tells percentages of acceptable gasses etc.
Anything you inhale will replace the oxygen that you should be inhaling. That is obviously not healthy. Beyond that, it depends on what you are inhaling. Some bacteria can be inhaled and will make you sick. You really need to find out what is causing the smell.
It would depend on what the smell is. Certainly chemicals or pollution would be harmful but just bad odors shouldn't cause you any serious damage.
If you are Allergic or you have Azma , then it does.
