Does anyone know when the medication Lamictal becomes generic in the us?

i have to take it for seizures and it costs $50 through insurance. can't wait until it becomes generic?

Unfortunately its going to be several years. It is relatively new on the market and most drugs have a 7 year patent before they go generic. It is expensive but worth it. I take it to and wish it was cheaper! At least you have insurance that covers it. I had to appeal to my insurance company to pay for it.
