Does drinking alot of water reduce break outs and skin problems in general?
My mother is always telling me that the more water you drink, the less pimples and zits etc. you will get?
Is it just a myth, or does it really hold substance?
Answer:
Drinking a lot of water is good for your skin in general. But a lot of the time acne is caused by hormones and water will not effect that. I do notice though that when I drink a lot of water my skin looks nicer, but it really doesn't do anything for my zits...just makes the color better.
not a myth, it will cleanse ur system! Listen to your momma!
I've always been told that is does. and i tried it and it actually they actually started to go away
in some way, it is correct. but you can't drink too much water, it will dilute your body fluid, cause electrolytes imbalance, and that will cause other problems.
so it is better to use those facial clensing creams to wash your face, rather than drinking lots of water non-stop.
I'm not an expert, but I do know that water helps flush out toxins in your body.
Water makes your skin clearer and also adds to the elasticity of your skin. It encourages weight loss and does help your overall health. No lie!

Does donating blood help with high blood pressure?
It'd seem logical... But propably isn't? Or only for short while?
Answer:
No.
Blood pressure is based upon how hard the heart pumps out blood. The first part I believe is how hard/fast the heart pumps blood out, I think I heard the second is the valves closing and taking in blood.
Might want to look that up.
Only for a short while.
You will experience a temporary drop in blood pressure due to reducing your overall blood volume but as you suspected it's temporary. It's not considered therapeutic as it does not change the underlying condition causing ones HBP and is quite brief.
While a severe loss of blood will drop the pressure causing hypovolemia (low blood volume) donating a pint of blood will not help. Blood pressure is the amount of pressure exerted against the vessel wall when the heart contracts.
I dont see how it could.. I mean how would it?? I dont even see where it would be logical.
No, I don't think so. If you have high blood pressure you should see a doctor. It can damage your heart or cause a stroke.
No!Dont be fooled into thinking that... ur body wil adjust itself to bloodloss and u can believe the pb will still be high.. please seek medical help for high bp!
actually, donating blood is good for health.it doesn't mean that now,u start donating blood everytime or if u have no enough blood as well.
so,if u think u can donate ,then, donating with a gap of every 3to 4 months can be done after certain age18-20%26if your body weights about 45-whatever,i don't know. but plz don't start doing it.
%26i don't know about donating the blood even if we have high blood pressure...
plz ask to the heart speciallist or who knows about it...
or search on the internet.
take care...
byeeeeeeeeee
well, they do health checks on your blood-and take your blood pressure-so it would alert you to any problems

Does detox increase brain function?
If yes what is the best way to go about it?
Answer:
quit taking drugs and quit drinking, you will see the difference
brain cells do not regenerate. So you blew it already. Just keep on hittin that crack pipe.
stop your intake of drugs or booze see counselor AA even drink 1 fourth vinegar a day take vi ts b and stay clear of those things you do now.
Detox is just the process of getting the substance out of your system.Believe me nothing seems to function when you are going through detox.except your sweat glands and your bowels.Drinking warm jello (before it sets into a solid) is real good for your tummy(dry heaves)After a few days(depends what your drug of choice is) you will start to feel better and once you can hold down food.Just feeling better can clear the brain so you can remember not to go through that again! DO NOT try to detox alone.Waste of time you need medical care encase of convultions.
haha
I love the answers...not once did you mention drugs.
I would imagine it would increase brain function. It does for me, it helps with the brain fog.
And memory as well.
The benefits of cleansing are many..
This is the program I use
bardays.isagenix.com
I am sure it does. I cleanse my body with Isagenix. Its a great cleanse.

Does cutting caffeine really help anxiety?
Hi!
Does cutting caffeine really help diminish the levels of anxiety? I just so love my my coffee and drink approx. 3-4 a day. I no longer drink alcohol.
I just feel like if I start cutting back, then my anxiety will rise. I suffer from mild general anxiety and don't take any meds.
Answer:
Yes cutting it helps a great deal. Caffeine impacts the adrenals. It raises the production of the adrenal hormone cortisol (the stress hormone), which causes the blood vessels to constrict and the heart to pump harder. Coffee can cause adrenal insufficiency which in turn can lead to panic attacks.
Generally yes. Meditation helps to relieve stress too.
I believe cutting caffeine would diminish the levels of anxiety. If you decide to try it, then don't quit "cold turkey". Start by deleting one cup of coffee or replacing it with decaf. Then, gradually move to deleting two cups of coffee or replacing with decaf.
It's worth a try!
Read about caffeine by clicking on the link below:
Why not take meds? Anyway, caffiene affected me a great deal, if someone gave me caffinated coffee instead of decaf I was hanging from the chandilier. I didn't have to 'decaf' after I was on meds. But, coffee has like 200 mg of caffiene in a mug of coffee. That will give anyone the jitters. I take Klonopin for anxiety. I have never felt more relaxed. I switched to hot tea with the blue sweetener when I was taking care of my dad before he passed and when I came home I continued.
yes cutting back helps - maybe consider switching to green tea..

I've been drinking Crystal Light Ice-T for a few years now, and im very self concious about my height being 5"2 at the age of 14. And I was thinking about what my diet was because it supposedly effects your height, so I figured the Ice-T could be the cause. What do you think? Please be serious.
Answer:
No it does not affect your growth.
i dont think so, 5'2 is normal
Definately not..I'm 5'2 and 16. It's mostly genes, not what you eat.

Does crannberry pills help to dilute ph levels. for a drug screen?
Answer:
pH is a scale that measures the acidity and alkalinity of a liquid. It is a scale of approximately 1 (very acid) to 14 (very alkaline). Water is neutral and will be at pH 7. Normal urine should have a pH of 6.4, which is slightly acid.
If Your Urine pH is above 6.4, follow these directions:
Your urine is too alkaline and you must avoid foods that have an alkalizing reaction in the body.
Avoid all citrus fruits: orange, grapefruit, lemon; rosehip or fruity herb teas.
Instead of eating fruits, eat vegetables. Do not drink fruit juices except for cranberry juice.
Obtain unsweetened Cranberry juice (or cranberry juice concentrate) from a health food store. This cranberry juice must not be mixed with any other juice. Dilute it to the recommended concentration (if concentrated) and sweeten only slightly (if you must) with sugar (not honey). Drink half a cup of this every half an hour until your urine pH normalizes. Or, dilute it with water and sip it at frequent intervals until your urine pH normalizes.
If Your Urine pH is below 6.4, follow these directions:
Your urine is too acid and you must avoid foods that have an acid reaction in the body.
Reduce your intake of animal products. Eat fruits, particularly the citrus fruits.
How do the lab tests work?
Urine Specimen: At least 80 ml's of urine with a pH less than 7.0 and a specific gravity of at least 1.010 is needed. The amount, pH, and specific gravity is easily tested using a litmus paper tester that turns the appropriate color.
So, the answer to your question is yes, cranberry pills ( diuretics will also accomplish this) will dilute the alkaline (above 6.4) urine ph level drug-related. But remember, decreased psychomotor reflexes among other deleterious effects from marijuana have been known to last 24-31 hrs from as little as 1-2 marijuana cigarettes.
Diuretics flush excess water from the body. As a result there is considerable weight loss. They have been improperly used to dilute performance enhancing drugs in urine so that their presence cannot be detected by lab tests. They have also been used in weight classified events to achieve an appropriate competitive weight. I also read somewhere that vinegar will also do the trick. Some even resorted to inserting vinegar into the urinary system.
However, bear in mind, that there are other more sophisticated and expensive methods of drug urine testing. They are classified into : Thin layer Chromatography (TLC); Gas Chromatography ( GC), and combination of Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry ( GC/MS).
no
someone told me there is a supplement called "witch" something that helps
otherwise, vinegar helps
and stop doing drugs
Hell No.But then you shouldn't even be taking any kind of drugs to begin with, unless they are prescribed by your doctors. In which case,if you tell the work place that you have to take medications prescribed by your doctors, and can show them the proof that the doctors wrote them out for you to take, then the employers will be a little bit more understanding in respects to this matter on site. But any others that are illeagal,or not yours to take to begin with, can cause you some serious issues down the road.
Does cracking ur knuckles cause any health problems?
Answer:
You're just releasing trapped gas between the joints...
usually won't hurt anything.
BUT...one in-depth study regarding the possible detriments of knuckle popping has been published. This study, done by Raymond Brodeur and published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, examined 300 knuckle crackers for evidence of joint damage. The results revealed no apparent connection between joint cracking and arthritis; however, habitual knuckle poppers did show signs of other types of damage, including soft tissue damage to the joint capsule and a decrease in grip strength. This damage is most likely a result of the rapid, repeated stretching of the ligaments surrounding the joint. A professional baseball pitcher experiences similar, although obviously heightened, effects in the various joints of his pitching arm. But assuming you haven't signed a multimillion dollar contract to constantly pop your knuckles, it hardly seems worth the possible risk to your joints.
doubt it.
Nope and it never will. It just annoys people, that's why they make up BS so you get afraid to do it.
I have heard that it causes arthrisis in your later years.
It certainly causes me pain.
Whenever I do it my wife punches me and tells me to stop!
yes it does.
the cracking sound you hear is the blood being squirted out of your knuckle bones. (if u notice that your fingers ache a little after you do it.)
it also causes arthritis
I wouldn't say that it causes any health problems but it sure as hell give you ugly fingers!
yeah. it va ngive you arthristis (sorry for the spelling) and when you get older your fingers will come out all deformed. it happened to my great gradma
I do not think so. if so doctors must have published lots if theories. Actually when you do it you get a freshness in the part where you do it. I always do the act like throwing something by the hand and the cracking sound comes and i feel relieved. This is in both hands, legs and fingers.
I already have arthritis.
I've read before where people have asked this same question, and responders have said that it caused enlarged knuckles/joints %26 premature arthritis, etc.
Your best best would be to talk to the experts in the medical field, before believing any falsehoods you hear from others.
As you age your more able to get arthritis. + It makes your fingers swell, and look obscenly stubby.
Does constant rubbing of the nose change its shape?
if you have a habbit of touching, rubbing your nose, will it eventually change shape? also if you break your nose upwards will it stay that way?
Answer:
i would think the only way to change the shape of your nose would be to go and see a plastic surgeon.
doubtful to both questions
no and no. but to the 2nd question, sometimes when you break it, it might not heal in the exact same position depending on the severity but i doubt both of them
depends on how it healed.
Owen Wilson as a kid and teenager had several broken noses, that's y his nose looks like that.

Answer:
How many people just drink coffee as the first thing they do as their first part of the day?
When you do that, it puts your body into starvation mode and no matter what you eat, it will be stored as fat.

Does cigarette smoke causes dust?
Answer:
NO ONLY THE( ASH) MADE FROM SMOKING
The chemicals from a cigarette, when the cigarette is smoked indoors, cause dust.
yes
yes in short.
always smoke outdoors to avoid the dust.
yup
Is that what's worrying you?!
The dust caused by the ciggies - if only that were the only thing it caused?!
Sorry but I don't think so. Dust is dead skin cells, nothing to do with smoke.
Does chocolate really give you pimples?
I crave chocolate and I'm beginning to get lots f pimples? Is this puberty or is it just the chocolate?
Answer:
Nope, not chocolate...that's an old wives' tale (and I should know, I'm an old wife! LOL!)
I dont believe chocolate gives you pimples.. but check out this webpage...lol.. it'll give you some insight. Good luck %26 wash your face b4 bed to allow your pores to breathe. :)

It's puberty causing the pimples, and not the chocolate...which is an old wives tale. Your best bet is to get seen by a dermatologist, so that if you start having a problem with acne, then he'll treat it and your face won't be scarred. Best of luck to you.
No! I am a chocaholic and have clear skin.
Well, chocolate doesn't directly give you pimples. It's probably the puberty. BUT if your hands are greasy from eating chocolate than that could cause it too.
No. Chocolate can actually be good for your skin. You shouldn't eat too much though, because it is bad for your weight.

Does Champix work ? The new drug for smokers?
Answer:
Wrong Sanbox69, it's CHAMPIX, cos I am about to start using it. It's called CHAMPIX in the UK.
The answer is, YES, it does work.
it's "Chantix" and yes, it works really, really well!
My friends parents are on it and it works for them.
It is called Chantix... Yes, it works... I had tried patches, cold turkey, and welbutrin and none had worked... I got on Chantix and stopped smoking within a few weeks of taking it, without really even trying... I've been off Chantix for a month and still haven't smoked or craved a smoke...
It takes away all the withdrawel symptoms when you stop smoking and takes away the pleasure when you do smoke... It works
I think you really have to want to stop smoking before anything really works.
Champix (as it is called outside the US) is an excellent way to quit smoking with few side effects. For more Champix information, click the following link: http://www.121doc.com/champix.html?a_aid...
UK NHS Recommends Pfizer's Champix (called Chantix in USA):
A spokesperson for NICE said: 鈥淗aving looked at all the evidence, our independent Committee have concluded that varenicline appears to be a good way to help people who want to quit smoking.

Does caffeine have any affect on shyness?
Answer:
I am living proof!
Buy me an espresso and I shall surely loosen up!
Maybe it's because I'm a coffee/ tea/ caffeine junkie!
It relaxes me when I need to be calmed. It energizes me when I need a perk. Sounds like great ingredients for a great conversation!
By the way, stimulants are not demons! Some of the most famous men and women of science and art had used stimulants! Their ideas/ masterpieces didn't turn out BAD at all!
And you know the well-known 'ask me out' line, 'So, shall we go grab a cup of coffee sometime?' Surely, something about this American formula DOES work:)
i've never heard of that. i know alcohol does though.
Shyness cannot be cured with Stimulants such as caffiene, tobacco, energey drinks. caffiene will make you sweat and shaky, and possibly more jittery and nervous than you normally would be, i suggest a cup of warm milk, which has tryptophan that calms you down by increasing serotonin (5htp) synthesis
hope it helps
well in a round-about way it could. Personally if I get a lot of caffiene I get a LOT of energy. When I have energy I'm more able to loosen up and be more outgoing. But if Caffeine has a different effect on you (like you get wired and paranoid) then it may be different.
That is too difficult to determine.
If not used carefully, Caffeine can mess up your mind making it difficult for you to concentrate, ADD like symptoms (attention deficit disorder) which in social situations can make you seem awkward, and being aware of the created awkwardness can make you less talkative.
Don't ingest the **** unless you are really really sleepy and you absolutely need to be awake for some valid reason.
Does bug spray cause cancer?
I work in an office in which store-bought bug spray is used VERY often. Some days it smells AWFUL. It's gotten to the point where I'm concerned about the health effects of breathing that stuff. I've heard rumors that long-term exposure to bug sprays can cause cancer... ? Do you know anything about this, or other health effects? (BTW, yes I've spoken with the boss about this and he always says, "we'll check into that." Nothing ever happens)
Thanks in advance
Answer:
repeated exposure to any chemical is a risk for developing cancer. If your boss isn't doing anything about the chronic use of bug sprays, you need to notify OSHA, it is a definite infraction to continually expose employees to such substances.
Almost all commercially sold indoor insecticides, except for those sold for spiders, contain peremethrin. Peremethrin is a synthetic version of the natural pesticide found in Chrysanthmums - pyrethrum.
According to the Wikipedia entry under peremethrin:
"Currently, permethrin is not considered a carcinogen by any recognized authoritative body, but a few studies have lead the US EPA to classify the substance as a Category C carcinogen: Possible human carcinogen (the data show limited evidence of carcinogenicity in the absence of human data)[4]. Carcinogenic action in nasal mucosal cells for inhalation exposure is suspected due to observed genotoxicity in human tissue samples, and in rat livers the evidence of increased preneoplastic lesions lends concern over oral exposure [5][6]. However, these results are seen as preliminary and marginal, at best.
I would be very concerned. Find out specifically what retail brand of product is in use and contact whatever local agency you have that regulates these products. They should have more specific detail.
Thanks in advance

Does blood go brownish after a while?
Does blood always remain red say on a bit of cloth like a towel or does it change colour as time goes by? Like to a brownish colour?
Answer:
Yes the blood can change to a brownish colour due to the lack of oxygen etc present.
The brownish stain you see when something with blood on it has been washed for example is actually a rust stain caused by the iron in the blood.
it will change to a brown color the older it gets
It dries brown
i believe it will change yes :)

The brownish stain you see when something with blood on it has been washed for example is actually a rust stain caused by the iron in the blood.
it will change to a brown color the older it gets
It dries brown

Answer:
hi sophie
i dont know anything about biotin but i do know that a good quality multivitamin will help both your hair and complexion. In particular zinc is very good for hair, skin and nails. Zinc has been shown to be deficient in people who suffer from skin problems. Also plenty of water is another must. You have plenty of time as the wedding is not until october. Start taking a good multi and some zinc now and aim to drink at least 2 pints of water spread out over the day.

Does being tickled on the bottoms of the feet cause stuttering?
I like to tickle my cousin on her feet because she laughs really hard but my mom says I shouldn't because it will make her stutter.
Answer:
no way.my friend! i dont think its true, what a funny question, maybe your mom worry too much about your cousin. when i was young,i was always tickled on my feet and i did laugh so much, but till now i've never stutter!
i dont think thats true. theres not reason why tickling someone on there feet would cause them to stutter
That is definitely not true but certainly funny. =)
No. These are just old wives tales

It sure makes them stutter as they are being tickled though!Hah!
I don't think it will make her stutter, but you should quit, it's not nice
No, but it can cause black eyes if the tickler doesn't stop when the ticklee says so.

Does being able to touch poison ivy without getting a skin reaction constitute as a super power?
Answer:
Hardly. The skin reaction to poison ivy is an allergic reaction. It's just unusual that so many people are allergic to it. That you're not allergic to it means nothing more than that.
No...just shows immunity to it.
No... you're with about 10% of the rest of people (that's 30 million in the U.S. alone).
Nope...youre just not allergic to it like many other people. My family was never allergic to it, either. I still wouldn't recommend rubbin it on your skin or anything, though! :)
means you got terrist immune cells,,,,,,,,,,,ggrrrrrrrrrrrr...
I say yes.
Sure.
Why the hel* not?
Go on with it Jean Grey!
No your just not allergic to it,be glad.
Does Beano really work for gas?
I fart between 50-77 times a day, some are embarassing. Any other remedies?
Answer:
yes, beano does work. While this is embarrasing, it is normal. I would suspect that you eat lots of fruits and veggies. Good boy
needle and thread...maybe stapler
yes. go to your doctor.
I think I remember reading somewhere that the average person passes gas about 14 times a day. So yes you are a little excessive.
In my opinion, Beano does not work.
Maybe you should try lactase, the enzyme that helps you digest lactose (milk sugar). Even if you could "always" eat yogurt and ice cream, drink milk and eat products made with milk. It doesn't always mean that you will always be able to. Lactose intolerance accounts for a lot of intestinal gas.
And, yes, talk to your doctor.

Does anyones child have post nasal drip? What are the symptoms? Do they cough all night?
Answer:
they should only do this when they have a cold. And yes it can make them cough all night. But when a child has been sick for more than 1 week you should speak with a doctor. It could be more serious. Zinc is one of the best med supplements for colds. and they make a zinc lolly pop for children.
I would take your child to the doctors and see if they have post nasal drip syndrome and get treatment for it.
post nasal drip is mostly caused by some allergy and can even cause problems like shortness of breath. also in many cases they dont even know why its happening and just push their nasal sprays on you wich only make things worse in the longrun..i's recomend jala neti
Use a humidifier at night. Post nasal drip gets worse when laying down. Have the child sleep propped up on pillows. Get the cherry zinc lozenges WITH ZINC. Give the child chicken noodle soup with alot of garlic.
I RARELY take any medication. Especially anti-biotics.
To remove allergies it only takes 24 hours, find a doctor in your area and you'll be shocked and amazed that you haven't heard of this before.
I use this doctor for EVERYTHING. It all started when a friends "autistic" child became a happy, normal child. That's when I started going. Allergies can cause diseases and everything else.
Good luck, I hope this helps you.
coughing is always worse when laying flat on your back. post nasal drips very common with allergies. Try an antihistamine, if that is not helping try adjusting the time you are taking it, you may ultimately need to take you child to an allergist. Thay will have lots if advice and help for your child
Does anyone understand blood sugar levels?
Hi everyone, I have been showing a few symptoms of diabetes lately, tired all the time, very thirsty, needing the bathroom more and during the night. A neightbour has the blood sugar monitor for her diabetes and she tested me.
Fisrt I hadnt eaten a lot just a couple of mouth fulls of Special K that morning which was 6 hours before. The reading was 5.6.
The second was 2 hours after I ate, the reding was 3.4.
Does anyone understand this?
She has only recently started using it so she is unsure of what it means.
Is it normal, diabetes or even hypoglycema?
Answer:
These readings are fine, but they only tell you what your blood sugar levels were at those particular points in time.
If you have symptoms of diabetes, and you do, then you need to get a glucose tolerance test done. This will involve fasting overnight, then having blood and urine readings regularly after being given a glucose meal.
You probably have nothing to worry about, but it would be a good idea to get checked for your own peace of mind. Also if you do have diabetes, or prediabetes, it is good to find out sooner rather than later. There are a lot of complications of diabetes that can be avoided if you know you have it.
I hope this helps, and wish you all the best.
normal blood sugar levels are between 90 - 120 or 130.
To learn about blood sugar levels google "diabetes".
You get 2 levels of dbs.! you need to see a doctor to determine if you must go on pills or injection.
2 If your overweiht and eat wrong food or not at all and then binge again, that can be cured by exercisi and a diet .Both you must see a doctor
Go to your doctors if you are worried. It could be a number of things. The readings you state are quite acceptable, but there are many things which could cause your symptoms.
I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Diabetic blood sugar after fasting for 8 hours is above 7 mmol. You should still get this checked out, but my GP said anything under 7 is normal. I have started on tablets and i check daily and it is coming down, day one was 17mmol and today it 9.7mmol. Hope this helps and good luck.
I dont know what the first answerer was on about, blood sugar of 90+ thats a lot of sugar, maybe he meant blood pressure
Those readings are fine for a non-diabetic, the second one is slightly low, but that is probably because you hadn't eaten much. Normal is anything under 7ish. You need to start worrying if it gets over 10 for more than a few readings. you could be thirsty %26 weeing for another reason so you need to see a doctor
Hello,
Right firstly to re-iterate some of these excellent replies those levels are fine - however, you should go to the doctors anyway because you are suffering symptoms that you need resolved and you need to find the reason. These particular symptoms could be indicative of other problems, and lets be honest you just want to get a good nights sleep!

Does anyone take Adderall for A.D.D?
So i have a question if you do take it...When your off of it for a while and then get back on, do you notice you start over thinking situations?
Do you feel more sad?
Because i was off of it for 3 weeks and i was the happiest person. Then i got on it 2 weeks ago and ive just felt like crap.
Answer:
See your physician. Could be the wrong medication. I used to take it years ago. Helped then I was able to wean myself off. I found a great crainio-sacral therapist. It helped me off my anti-depressants and the adderall. Look it up if you care to, She studied with the Upledger Foundation. It unwinds the body and allows it to heal itself. We are not drug deficient, but sometimes you need a little extra help with meds...
No. I used to take Concerta and if I forgot a pill I would have an awful headache. I stopped taking any medication for ADD 5 years ago and nothing changed.
drugs are bad, mkay
No i take adderal and i don't feel that way. That probably means that its not the right prescription for you.
I've been on Adderall. It's a high stimulant like Ritilan. It's supposed to work with ADD by helping you to focus. HOWEVER, if you have any mood disorders like depression it can have a bad effect. You may still get the desired effects of being able to concentrate, but you may get up and downs too.
The effect of the amphetamine can throw you into a feel good mood, and then when you crash you fall just as hard the other way. It can happen everyday, more than one time a day. You can become a moody, highly opinionated person without knowing it. Talk to your doc, maybe the dose or drug is wrong. Good Luck.
It hasn't influenced my moods
Ussing substances like Adderal, (methyl phenidate) for ADHD in adults, is not childrens game...
There must be a legally authorized and accountable person that prescribes it, and or changes it when necessary, which is a licensed therapist...
However, if you have had such discomfort re continuing adderal, you should inform your doctor, as to reconsider another medication appropiated for You....
One thing you do not mention in your question is.why did you discontinue and recontinue Adderal?
There must be a MEDICAL reason for doing that.
There should be no reason to feel the way you did, if the dose is properly adjusted to your problem...
This could be a side effect that should be reported to the FDA by your doctor. and no one else...
A NEPHEW OF MINE WAS ON VARIOUS ADD MEDS. WHEN HE CAME FOR AN EXTENDED VISIT I TOLD HIS MOM THAT HE WAS CLINICALLY DEPRESSED. SHE DID NOT THINK SO BUT AS SOON AS HE WAS OLD ENOUGH HE TOOK HIMSELF OFF ALL AND HAS SEEMED OKAY
Do you feel more sad?

Does anyone suffer from Sleep paralysis, if so share your experience or suggestions for a cause...?
Answer:
the folklore in my country (mexico) refers to that experiencie as "se te subio el muerto" (that means that someone dead has just got on top of you and thats why you can't move), but with this i don't mean to frighten you! it was just one interesting fact you may like to know...
now.. if you want to know the "psicological" or "physiological"cause... here is it.. you may know.. that when we sleep.. our brain disconects the concious part so that the inconcious begins working... (that's why we dream and also that way our brain makes new conections for everything we learned during the day).. but that's not that simple... dreaming has a process that consists in 4 steps and in each step we are more heavily slept than in the previous one...
so... why is sleep paralysis provoqued??...
imagine you are just falling asleep.. your brain is just disconecting and your unconsious is just "wakeing up" you are aware of what is happening arround you but also your unconsious is making his part makeing you see... hear.. or feel thing that aren't there... thing thar are a kind of memory of your actions of the day.
other cause is that you are already sleeping.. and for any cause you are suddenly waken.. maybe a noise... or maybe something inside your brain... maybe your concious has just ended his regeneration time but your unconcious hasn't ended doing his job.. so.. you are awaken but you can't move... nor talk... you are just there.. laying.. seeing and listening everything around you (a thrilling thought no?)... and that's the cause... the conections in your brain hasn't being restored in so little time... so your 5 senses are working but it seems that your will isn't..
a way to make this a little less annoying is thinking fast... while you are lying there.. think anyting but fast... (in my country they tell you to pray... remember.. that thing about dead coming and laying over you... but it's not the fact of praying the one that helps you.. it's the facto that you are makeing your brain wake up completely...)
hope it helped you!
Hi, I have Narcolepsy and suffer the full tetrad of its symptoms: Excessive Daytime Sleepiness, Cataplexy, sleep paralysis, and Hypnogigic hallucinations. I really hate having SP, because I hate not being able to move, and I often have HH at the same time, so I will be terrified seeing creatures, etc. from my dreams that seem real. For more about my experiences with SP, check out www.myspace.com/discuscatcher and be sure watch my videos there. Rachel Russell
yes I have. Not too often thank God. That is a freaky experience. Creepy.
Does anyone recommend taking Bach flower remedies? Do they work?
Answer:
Definitely works for me.
I mainly use Rescue Remedy. As said above its a great help when I'm off to the dentist or something un-nerving like that.
But if its not necessarily anxiety you need to combat, just ask for help from the pharmacist or assistant in the heath store and hopefully they could guide you through the individual remedies, i think you can mix up to 6 different ones for all different reasons.
Yes, I take rescue remedy, when I'm stressed or nervous about anything, in particular a trip to the dentist, it really works for me and helps me feel more calm.
Bach rescue remidies i have used them a few times. i feel like they work. i dont know if its just something in ur head that makes u relax. but they cant hurt.
I've tried them, and they did not work for me.
yes, they work for me, i have my GCSEs at the moment and when i get nervey and start shaking before i take some of the Rescue Remedy spray and it calms me right down. My mum also uses it when flying as it calms her then as well.
Never tried. The answers will be interesting.
I have used Rescue Remedy before and it helped calm me down. I hate driving and when my other half was injured and couldnt drive, I had to drive the kids to an arranged pick up point 2hours away for them to go on holiday. The pick up point was sorted so I didnt have to drive on the motor way!
Anyway, it started to wear off on the way home and by jov...did I know it!!
Its worth a try but there is no guarantee it will work for everyone.
Does anyone out there have panic attacks?
how do u deal with them
Answer:
I had a lot of panic attack about 4 to 5 years ago. At first I was seeing a therapist but there were other issues and he referred me to a psychiatrist who placed me on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication. The anti-anxiety medication was helpful and usually started working rather quickly. The problem is that the anti-anxiety medication is heavy duty and can be addictive. In addition to its addictive nature, long term use can lead to other medical problems. I have found that although the anti-anxiety medication served its purpose, there are other activities one can engage in to ease the situation. Sometimes I use breathing exercises. Other times, I sit down and try to focus. Right now, I kind of know what would trigger those episodes and try to fix them pro-actively instead of re-actively. This only comes with time so you have to work hard to know yourself. In the interim, a therapist might help you figure those things out or perhaps talking to a well respected family member or friend.
I have them when I am around a large group of people, like in a department store or something, Normally leaving the place that is causing them helps me, If you go to the doctor and they diagnose you with classic anxiety they will give you medication to supress that feeling.
I do and it has been very difficult as of late. My P-doc keepsprescribing me Anti-Psychotic medications like Risperdol...
I recently asked my fam dr to prescribe something faster acting...and have found some relief with it (Xanax).but I only take it when absolutley neccessary
When I get them, I take deep breaths, find something to focus on to distract me and take a cool shower (if I'm at home). There are prescription medications out there that treat anxiety (panic attacks) so you may want to talk to your doctor if it continues or you've been dealing with them for awhile. Good luck!
Yes - I suffer from agoraphobia which is a fear of people in groups or a confined place like a store. I take antidepressant and anti anxiety medication and don't panic in stores and have to leave much anymore, but sometimes still have a problem getting myself to go to the store. I am getting counseling now too. They can help with specific types, causes, and problems.
I have alot of panick attacks especially around alot of people or when im just really nervous about something or even mad i just take deep breaths or breathe into a paper bag it regulates the breathing you can even visit your doctor and get some anti anxiety medication good luck
Just like all doctors say it's in your head, but panic attacks are real you need to calm your mine from fear, God is in your mine read the bible it calms the fear in all of us

Does anyone out there have any experience with Cymbalta?
Answer:
This drug is too new for anyone to have much experience with the side-effects or how to get off of it. It is comparable to Effexor as it is a SSNRI and works on norepinephrine as well as serotonin.
I was prescribed this for depression and anxiety. It seemed to help at first; but it made me very tired and lethargic. I also have experienced rapid weight gain, mood swings, nervousness, insomnia and headaches.
Quitting it has been almost impossible because of horrible withdrawals (headaches, dizziness, and flu-like symptoms). The lowest dosage is 20mg, and it only comes in a delayed-release capsule so it cannot be split or compounded.
There seems to be no recommended discontinuation plan. My doctor suggested taking it every other day; which caused horrible withdrawal symptoms.
Either be ready to take this forever or brace yourself for the sickness of a discontinuation syndrome that is as bad or worse as that of Paxil.
No, sorry.
Yes, my Mom seems to be helped. She's not as irritable and has begun to laugh and generally be optimistic. 60 mg for about 6 months-I'd say it took a few months for full effect for her.
Does anyone out ther have any experiences with narcotics? If so I need some help?
ccocaine/ freebase addiction
Answer:
If it's you that's addicted then you've just made the hardest step, admitting you're addicted. Now you need to tell someone else, unless you're willing to check yourself into a clinic.
If it's not you, you need to call the NA hotline and ask about the best way to approach this person, unless you feel confident in doing so now. I personally would get some advice, drug addiction can do some screwed up stuff to people's psyche. Either way, it's scary now but it will all turn out for the best. If you could still live with it, you wouldn't be asking this question.
dont b a druggie, they r hopeless
How about some details there Rayve? That's just a whole lot of GENERIC thought! e me at my usename %26lt;ta%26gt; yahoo if you like, your probably gonna get the same ol judgemental types who only point out the obvious. Must be why they take so long at Lvl. 1!!!

Does anyone one know of a new drug called AVANZA?
My doctor recently prescribed me Avanza to take.Does anyone know what its like or anyone else taking it?Please help before i start.
Answer:
I have been taking it for about 3 months now. I didn't have any noticeable side effects when first taking the drug which was a nice surprise considering my track record with other drugs. Depending on your dosage it acts as a mild sedative when you take it. Unlike many other drugs that perform a similar function, you will "feel" Avanza working on you when the sedative kicks in. It wont put you to sleep if that's what your wanting but I've found it to be fairly successful in calming anxiety attacks. I'm not sure what the half life is for Avanza but I've found that its effects wear off fairly quickly compared to other drugs. It's a simple drug that does it's job you shouldn't have any problems.
Sorry I can not find any listing for it. Is your spelling correct?

I'm not sure what the half life is for Avanza but I've found that its effects wear off fairly quickly compared to other drugs. It's a simple drug that does it's job you shouldn't have any problems.
Sorry I can not find any listing for it. Is your spelling correct?
Does anyone know..?
ways to boost your immune system? Preferably nothing medicene wise, I'm going for a natural, healthy approach.
Answer:
1. Any kind of nutritional deficiency may lead to more frequent and prolonged illnesses. If you starve yourself, your body will think it's under siege and pump out stress hormones. Also, dropping more than 2 pounds per week is hard on the T cells that detect diseased or foreign cells. Fats are not bad for you, you just have to pick the right ones ex omega-3s are good, get enough protein, eat your fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of fluids. Dehydration will lower your resistance.
2. Regular, moderate exercise can boost several aspects of your body's self-defense system. Being active not is not only good for your physical health, it improves your mood and reduces stress as well.
3. Spend time with people who make you laugh, or watch a funny movie. Laughter also increases circulation, stimulates digestion, lowers blood pressure and reduces muscle tension
Its good that you want to go the natural and healthy way.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Believe it or not but sleep and exercise will help %26 constantly wash your hands.
Naturally you can take echinacea, goldenseal, vitamin c, zinc, or somethin called emergen c
A way to boost your immune system is to get active like work out. Also you should eat activia almost everyday.
Alot of vitamin c
You need to eat a balanced diet, get enough exercise and rest, don't smoke, drink moderately and eliminate stress from your life.
That said, there are a lot of factors that cause your immune system to be weaken: environmental, hereditary, aging, etc. So a good immune supplement is a benefit to everyone's daily routine.
For a natural supplement try Immune Alert, which is made from an all-natural extract from baker's yeast called beta glucan. This is something that is found in foods but we would have to eat an exaggerated about to get the level of beta glucan that is recommended for boosting your immune system.
Check out the website, www.immunealert.com -- there is a ton of information about the product, the research that backs it up and your immune system. You can also get a free sample (you pay for shipping and handling).
My family takes this product and loves it!

Does anyone know why people sneeze?
I know that we sneeze when we get dust up our nose, or inhale particles like pollen, or pepper.
But sometimes we sneeze when none of these things are present. So what makes us sneeze in these circumstances?
Answer:
Sneezing, also called sternutation, is your body's way of removing an irritation from your nose.
When the inside of your nose gets a tickle, a message is sent to a special part of your brain called the sneeze center. The sneeze center then sends a message to all the muscles that have to work together to create the amazingly complicated process that we call the sneeze.
Some of the muscles involved are the abdominal (belly) muscles, the chest muscles, the diaphragm (the large muscle beneath your lungs that makes you breathe), the muscles that control your vocal cords, and muscles in the back of your throat. Don't forget the eyelid muscles! Did you know that you always close your eyes when you sneeze?
It is the job of the sneeze center to make all these muscles work together, in just the right order, to send that irritation flying out of your nose. And fly it does - sneezing can send tiny particles speeding out of your nose at up to 100 miles per hour!
Most anything that can irritate the inside of your nose can start a sneeze. Some common things include dust, cold air, or pepper. When you catch a cold in your nose, a virus has made a temporary home there and is causing lots of swelling and irritation. Some people have allergies, and they sneeze when they are exposed to certain things, such as animal dander (which comes from the skin of many common pets) or pollen (which comes from some plants).
Do you know anyone who sneezes when they step outside into the sunshine? About one out of every three people sneezes when exposed to bright light. They are called photic sneezers (photic means light). If you are a photic sneezer, you got it from one of your parents because it is an inherited trait. You could say that it runs in your family. Most people have some sensitivity to light that can trigger a sneeze.
Its a muscle spazm I believe
From the dust that gets in their nose
Sneezing usually occurs when the nerve endings of the mucous membrane of the nose are irritated, due to a swelling of the membrane, for example when we have a cold, or when some foreign body, such as a gnat, invades our nose, or when allergy and pollen season strike.
Surprisingly enough, sneezing can be brought on (or out!) when the optic nerves in our eyes are exposed to bright light!
For whatever reason, the membrane is irritated, sneezing is a reflex act, completely beyond our control, by which the nose trumpets out air in an attempt to eject (and project!) the irritating bodies. Sometimes, however, this is accomplished only through multiple sneezes.
Medical science dispelled ancient beliefs concerning the out-of-control sneeze, and snuffed out superstitions in the process. Primitive people held the belief that a sneeze signified approaching death, and immediately assisted the distressed person by crying out "God help you!" Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks, saw the sneeze as an omen of approaching danger, or, on a more positive note, as a way of foretelling the future. Lucky ones sneezed to the right, while unlucky ones sneezed to the left. The moral of the story is to know your right from your left, and to sneeze in that direction, regardless of who is next to you!
Biblically speaking, sneezing meant a certain death, until Jacob nosed in and made a deal with God, whereby a prayer per sneeze cheated the grim reaper. Pope Gregory the Great, in response to the sixth century plague in Italy, carved out his place in history as being the one responsible for insisting that prayers, such as "God bless you!," be said in response to the deadly sneeze. He did not, however, order that tissues be kept close at hand to snare the airborne germs spewed forth by the sneeze.
Could b the tiny hairs up in your nose irratating it, there has to be something there irratating your nose really for you to sneeze. You may not b able to see dust but it can still b there also.
yes, a sneeze is an irratation of the nose. when air is caught up in something such as pepper or basil; one unintentionally inhales and irratates the nose. why do we sneeze in these certain circumstances? for one there are billions of particles floating all around you at everysecond of the day. these particles contain samalian. this samalian is irratated to puppies, cows, and people. this bacteria is the most common cause of the sneeze.
to get rid of all the rubbish in side
I know exactly what you're talking about. The reason that happens is because there are always tiny bits of dust and stuff floating in the air. You can't see it, but it's there. When it's dark, look in the beam of a flashlight, and you'll be able to see all the bits of stuff floating around. That stuff goes in our nose when we breathe, and when too much gets in it, we sneeze and blow it out.

Does anyone know where to find out about medical doctors and radiologist credentials?
I got married May 19th 2007. After having an ultrasound conducted and visiting with a radiologist, My Husband is informed, he will likely need to have one of his testicles removed and of course the first thing a doctor says is to have it removed. I mentioned to have a biopsy done and the radiologist has seen cases like the one my husband has. I opted for my husband to get a second opinion on having the complex mass removed from his testicle My husband seems to want to take this radiologist advice/opinion as gold. I would like to get a second opinion. Goodness, it seems everything these days about surgery removal.
Answer:
http://www.ama-assn.org/- They should be able to help. You can look up credentialed physicians and other technicians.
It's unlikely that a doctor would recommend surgery such as this without good reason. If you want a second opinion, look in the yellow pages for another doctor.

Does anyone know where in the UK a laser treatment clinic for quiting smoking is?
I am near the London area. Looking for a Clinic that has the Laser treatment to Quit smoking.
Answer:
Hi, i know something that is low tech unlike the laser treatment and it will take a little effort on your part. It worked for me and it worked for my wife. I was a smoker for 28 years and now i have been nicotene free for 8 years now.
This is how it works...depending on how much you smoke, because this could be adjusted to the hour. Just for today tell yourself that you will not smoke. Don't worry about tomorrow, just focus on today. Whenever you feel the urge, tell yourself just for today i won't smoke. Then be in touch with your feelings, look inside yourself and try to feel what you are feeling. I was always cranky and moody and even angry for 2 whole weeks. Everytime i would be like that, my wife would ask me..."How do you feel?". And that really helped me a lot. I often felt restless and wanted to put my hand to my mouth, but i became aware of that and each time i felt that way, i would sit down someplace, relax and take deep breaths and tried to be in touch with my feelings. I did that everyday and the 1st week was the hardest but it became easier as time went by. Good luck. Andretti
Laser treatment for quitting smoking? That sounds like it doesn't fit. What do they laser? Your fingers? Your brain?
I don't know a clinic sorry, but I would like to know how it works..please extend your question.

Does anyone know when the medication Lamictal becomes generic in the us?
i have to take it for seizures and it costs $50 through insurance. can't wait until it becomes generic?
Answer:
Unfortunately its going to be several years. It is relatively new on the market and most drugs have a 7 year patent before they go generic. It is expensive but worth it. I take it to and wish it was cheaper! At least you have insurance that covers it. I had to appeal to my insurance company to pay for it.

You might have food poisoning. You should go to the doctor.
don't worry dear. life is like that. but u have to c the doctor.
although this could mean you are dehydrated (high heart rate, headache and cramps are sysmptoms), i will still implore you to check with a medical practioner. being dehydrated could mean so many things. so drink some gatorade or other sports drink and go to your doc. good luck and good health.
You are getting ready to start your period, duh. I'm a guy and I know this.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

Does anyone know what migraines feel like?
I think that I am suffering from this; yet, I'm not sure. I head hurts and sometimes I feel like when you get brain freeze...
Answer:
Migraine symptoms can differ somewhat from one person to another. I can only tell you what I feel myself. My neck hurts (usual first symptom), then I feel very nauseas. Then either the back of my head or the side and tons of pressure behind my eye. I get so sick and hurt so much it puts me right down. I can't tolerate any noise. I usually just lay in a half awake half asleep state until it goes away. They can hit anytime and last for one hour or for a few days. I'm on alot of different medications, which has them under control to a point where they haven't gone on much longer than about 2 hours. They are miserable, horrible, and awful. You can go to www.webmd.com which will give you much more information about the variety of different experiences and symptoms that people have. It can also help diagnose you. Good luck, and I really hope you are not having them!
Like someone is taking a hammer and banging it on your head. You get really sensitive to bright light and loud sounds.
Migraines are painful, throbbing headaches that last from 4 to 72 hours. When you have a migraine, it may be so painful that you are not able to follow your normal routine or do your usual activities. But even though they make you feel bad, migraines do not cause long-term damage.
Migraines are a disease. You cannot just "will them away." Talk to your doctor about your migraines. There are treatments that can help you manage them.
What causes migraines?
Experts are not sure what causes migraines. The blood vessels in your brain may get wider or narrower. This may cause swelling and pain.1
Migraines run in families, but it is not clear why some people get migraines and others do not.
What are the symptoms?
The main symptom of a migraine is a throbbing headache on one side of your head. You may also feel sick to your stomach and vomit. Activity, light, noise, or odors may make the migraine worse. The pain may move from one side of your head to the other, or you may feel it on both sides at the same time. Different people have different symptoms.
Some people have an aura before the migraine begins. When you have an aura, you may first see spots, wavy lines, or flashing lights. Your hands, arms, or face may tingle or feel numb. The aura usually starts about 30 minutes before the headache. But most people do not have auras.
How are migraines diagnosed?
A doctor can usually tell if you have a migraine by asking about your symptoms and examining you. You probably will not need lab tests, but your doctor may order some if he or she thinks your symptoms are caused by another disease.
Many experts think you have migraines if:2
You have 5 or more headache attacks without an aura or you have 2 attacks with an aura.
Your headache lasts from 4 to 72 hours without treatment.
You also feel sick to your stomach and may vomit. Light and noise may make your headache worse.
How are they treated?
You can usually manage your migraines. First try an over-the-counter pain medicine, such as ibuprofen or naproxen. Brand names include Advil, Motrin, and Aleve.
If over-the-counter medicine does not work, your doctor can prescribe stronger medicine that stops the migraine as it is starting. You may not be able to use some medicines if you are pregnant or have other health problems, such as heart problems or high blood pressure.
When you feel a migraine coming on:
Stop what you are doing, and take your medicine. Do not wait for the migraine to get worse. Take your medicine exactly as your doctor told you to.
Take it easy. Rest in a quiet, dark room. Close your eyes, and try to relax or go to sleep. Do not watch TV or read. Put a cold pack or cool cloth on the painful area.
If the first treatment you try does not work, try something else. It may take time to find what works best for you.
Some people also use other kinds of treatments, such as acupuncture or the herb feverfew. These may help reduce the pain or the number of migraines you have. But experts need more research to see if they really work.3, 4
Be careful when you use your migraine medicines. Taking them too often can cause you to get another headache when you stop taking the medicine. This is called a rebound headache. If you find you are taking your medicines very often, talk to your doctor before a problem starts.
Can I reduce how often I have migraines?
You may be able to reduce how often you have migraines by staying away from things that cause them. These are called "triggers." Common triggers include chocolate, red wine, cheese, MSG, strong odors, not eating, and poor sleep habits. It may be helpful for you to track and write down your triggers. You may be able to avoid the trigger and more migraines.
If you have migraines often, your doctor may prescribe medicine that helps prevent them.
if you had a migrain you wouldn't be here on answers looking at a computer screen.
you'd be in bed crying. that's how much one hurts.
Migraines are awful! When I experience them, I most always notice a "halo-type" light that warns me one is coming on. Then the pain is so intense I sometimes throw-up. Bright light and noise make it worse. The pain can last from hours to days. Medication along with lying in a dark, quiet room can be helpful. Some-times migraines can be triggered by diet.....knowing what these food items are is extremely helpful in avoiding migraines. Avoiding stressful situations as much as possible is also a good idea.
There is a new development in migraine therapy:

Does anyone know what it means when a blood test reveals your dhea sulfate level is 183?
I had a routine blood test done and the doctor also told me my tryglyceride level is 173, and my homo cysteine level is 24.7. I need to know if anyone is familiar. ...PLEASE
Answer:
I thought the best person to have asked would have been the doctor who gave you the results of the test. Maybe you should phone a medical assistance line. I know in our state here we have a government funded, free of charge 24/7 help line staffed by qualified medical personnel who are able to give general advice on medical issues. Does anyone know what it feels like to die?
Has anyone here died before? What does it feel like? Does it hurt?
Answer:
In my experience of doing past life regression hypnosis, I have had many "subjects" experience their past deaths. It seems that, it certainly can be painful depending on the nature of the death (getting hacked up by a chainsaw vs drowning) but, in all these experiences, it seams that the after death is quite blissful. Similar are the "near-death experiences" people often talk about. it is often quite nice, beautiful, serene, peaceful. Last year, i was hit head on by a Fed Ex truck while traveling on my motorcycle (no helmet--idiot) at about 30mph. I was unconscious for about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, i didn't have a "Near death experience" per se. Didn't see the white light or visit or talk to anyone. But, as I regained consciousness. I vividly recall coming out of a truly blissful state of feeling. And, I really do think it was "decisioin making time" for me. It just wansn't my time.
I hope you are not asking because you are contemplating suicide?? If you are, then it is truly one of the most excrutiatinly painful expeeriences ever. And, you should get help now.
An interesting book about death and dying was written by a friend of mine and she discusses many of her experiences while working with people around the issue of death, usually through hypnosis. The book is called, "O' Sane and Sacred Death" by Louise Ireland-Frye. Fun and interesting reading.
It was no day in the park. I don't recommend it.
If someone has died.
They wouldn't be telling you on Yahoo!Answers.
Trust me.

Does anyone know what causes lipomas and how to prevent them if at all possible?
Answer:
Lipomas are encapsulated pockets of fat that seem to occur when an area is traumatized, such as a hard blow. Lipomas can occur on any part of the body.
Many lipomas appear for no known reason.
There is no known cure at this time. There are no studies I have found that show how to prevent lipomas from happening.
Do you mean lymphomas? They are a growth in the lymph node. Possibly cancerous. Not always. Don't know anything to do to prevent them.
yes sodium dhicloroacetate /liposuction
get rid of your doctor and stop helping him make his Mercedes and mortgage payment
Go to a high quality nutritionist; it is cheaper and healthier than the contuning annuity in the doctor's wallet
Does anyone know what are those little crusty things that develop on my eyelashes and tear ducts after sleep?
They are yellowish and form mostly in the tear duct but get in my eyelashes too. I only get them after sleeping. There are usually hard.
Answer:
It's the same thing as boogers, and I know it's disgusting, but it's completely normal. When you sleep, your eyes and tear ducts gather lots of dust and flying debris as you sleep, thus forming those nasty little crusty things in your eyes when you awake.
yea we call them yucs
i think that it is mucus that hardends doing the night because it just collects there because you are not blinking...but i did hear b4 that there are bugs that live in your eyelashes too.
I dont know...what do they taste like? Candy?
Really, they are EBs..Eye Boogers. They dont quite taste like candy.
When you sleep your eyes clean themselves. The yucky stuff is all the dust, lint, and dirt that gets into your eyes on a daily basis

Does anyone know what a burning sensation in your legs means or perhaps what a white tongue is caused by ?
Answer:
Ive been to the docs only this week with burning legs, just inflammation of the veins caused by spending many hours on my feet at work. He gave me anti inflammatory that seem to be working. As for your tongue, your probably just under the weather or it just needs a quick scrub with your toothbrush. Hope alls well soon. x
It is... SATAAN!!!
It sounds like thrush.
white tongue, youre thirsty, burning sensation, your not shaking when you pee :D
Are these two conditions linked in some way?
The burning is you spilling tea in your lap.
The white tongue is due to dehydration - drink your tea!
are you a diabetic? the white in your mouth sounds like thrust or maybe a yeast infection. pain in the legs could be from bad circulations problems
my friends and i used to get white/yellow furry tongues as an after effect of taking amphetamines and ecstasy- i have no idea if that is what you've been up to but if you have the leg pain could be from too much dancing?
In Texas, it is just that I stepped on more fire ants.in your case it can be caused by circulation, dry skin, allergy, or even niacin thrushing as the histamine goes through your body. Check with a doctor to rule out circulation or other problems.
White tongues are from medications or dead skin. See the web site below which has the most rational cause that I saw online.
pins and needles and dehydration is all i can think off
It could be peripheral neuropathy which can be cause by excessive alcohol consumption and lack of vitamin b, this causes nerve damage which gives the pain, vitamin b will help but it can take many months, and an antiinflammatory. for the pain.
Sciatica is also a painful condition which again affects the nerves and results in pain from the buttock down the sciatica nerve down the leg, pain relief ibuprofen and psychotherapy is caused by the disc compression on the nerve.
Does anyone know the rate at which the human body can actually assimilate water??
interested in how rapidly the liver can absorb water, and also, what is the best way to get water accessible to the cells
Answer:
well my friend this is a very interesting question but I have to point out a couple of things.
first the liver is not the organ that "absorbs" water but rather the whole body absorbs water as every single cell, intracellular space, extracellular space and intravascular space needs water in one way or another (plasma, blood, spinal fluid, seminal fluid etc), the organ that filters the "water" and either gets rid of excess or retains water due to deficit (dehydration etc) is the kidney.
second the amount of water needed by a human beign depends on the amount of deficit at the time and is calculated like this
0.6 x wt x (plasma sodium- normal sodium / by normal sodium) in which plasma sodiun is the measured amount at the time you are attempting to replace the water deficit and the normal sodiun is the normal range exepected (usually 145)
I hope this helps. If not an average adult needs
30-35 ml of water per kilogram of weight per day

Does anyone know the number to a Dr. Walter Black in Orlando Fl?
My husband went to him when he was a child and really needs to find him I know he is still in the field but the only number I can find online is out of order and 411 gives the same number.
Answer:
You can look up any recent practitioner's information in Florida at this website: http://ww2.doh.state.fl.us/irm00praes/pr...
It's a government run website and it is free.
Failure to update information generally results in penalties, so Dr B probably keeps his info current.
I found one address for a Walter Black, and it indicates that he is located in Altamonte Springs. I am going to make you the run the search yourself for practice though...it even will display his self-reported criminal record.

Does anyone know the effects of marijuana (smoked out of a vaporizor) on brest milk?
if you dont know what a vaporizor is, and you "think" you want to throw ur 2 cents in.eat your own.
Answer:
It has the same effect on breast milk as if you smoked it out of a pipe or a joint. THC is THC, no matter how its absorbed. The baby will get it in breast milk if you put it in your body. Vaporizors don't lessen the THC, otherwise people who smoke marijuana wouldn't bother with it. If you're worried about marijuana in breast milk affecting a baby, I suggest you refrain totally from smoking it..GL;)
I hope that you haven't smoked while breast feeding.
There is a reason that they say don't eat/drink/take anything while breast feeding/pumping. Your baby will be affected by it.
Come on, the kid comes first now.
There are few published reports on the effects of marijuana on breastfed infants. Some studies suggest that one-time use of marijuana leaves only minute amounts of THC, the active component in marijuana.THC is fat-soluble, which means it builds up in the body with chronic use. After a breastfeeding mother uses marijuana, THC is evident in her baby's urine and stools

Does anyone know the average total cost of lasik surgery in Dallas TX?
i was wondering if anyone could help give me an estimated total cost(including everything; the anesthetics, consoltation, etc) of the lasik procedure on both eyes?
stats:
near sighted, both eyes
right eye: 1.75
left eye: 2.25
no stigmatism
I'll be looking for a doctor in dallas texas, so estimates from that specific region would be apprecated.
Answer:
Lasik eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com...
Hope this helps.
Thank you for asking this question. I too am in Dallas and was wondering the exact thing. : D
You hear these commercials where it is only a couple of hundred dollars, but everyone I talk to says it's in the thousands. I don't know about the other suggestion of spending $ on a trip to India to have it done. Seems to me like it would be cheaper to have it done here after travailing costs to India. Plus, what if there are complications and your follow up work. I would think it would be better to have a doctor in your own area.

Does anyone know of problems related to long term niccotine gum consumption?
Ive been chewing it for a year now. That also means a year as an ex-smoker! But, Im hooked on the gum and dont want to quit it anytime soon. I hope Im not harming myself.
Answer:
The only thing noted to date about long term use is trading one addiction (cigarettes) for another (nicotine gum). Otherwise, the gum hasn't been out long enough for any long term studies. For an interesting story, please go here:

Does anyone know of herbal remedy for throwing up everytime I eat?
I am a 37 year old female who has had a complete hysterectomy. I do not take hormones or any other medications. I do have a bit of stress, my husband has a traumatic brain injury and I have 2 children ages 5 and 7. My husband is worse than the children, he demands more of my attention and gets sullen if I don't give it to him, he throws fits and objects when he feels things aren't going his way. He has never physically abused any of us but is very stressful for me to live with at times. Recently I have started throwing up everytime I eat something. Yesterday my right shoulder was hurting so bad I could not pick up anything and when I went to pull up my bathing suit bottom it felt like my shoulder was being ripped. Then today it hurt when I woke up and became progressively worse. Then I ate lunch and within 2 bites was running to the door to throw up and the weird thing was, after I threw up, my shoulder guit hurting. At dinner I threw up again after a few bites. When usually it has been 1 or 2 times a week, it is now becoming every meal. I know it is stress.though the shoulder is a new sympton.but since I have to be with my husband, I have no insurance and cannot afford a Dr. Or the medicine he would prescribe. My Stm John's wort is now blooming so I am making tea from fresh blooms 1/4 herb to one cup water 2x's/ day. I was wondering if you recommended any other herbs with it. I have quite a few I grow myself.
Answer:
Hey - could you get to a free clinic or something? I know stress can do this kind of thing, but it could be more serious as well, so you'd want to get checked out just to make sure.
Maybe the shoulder pain is reflux? I don't know... if it IS reflux, that could be good news, because the medications for that are pretty effective. You'd need insurance for them, though - meds like Prilosec, they're expensive :(
I've got gastroparesis, which gives me chronic nausea. I don't know if I can help you for sudden vomiting, but the few tricks I have learned.
- foot baths - they're just a general pain management tool and about the only thing that helps when nausea gets really bad
- Flat cola
- You could try switching to Boost instead of food... although it's pricey. It's basically a liquid diet, and it's a lot gentler on the stomach than actual food.
Other things that might work for stress-related upset are ginger (tea, candied, biscuits, whatever :), peppermint tea, and sucking on hard candy. I really hope you feel better! I'm sorry you're throwing up and stressed out.

Does Anyone Know Of Any Private Residential Autism Treatment Centres In Canada?
Ideally in Ontario and for adults with Autism.
Answer:
http://www.autismkey.com/autism_director...
Your doctor didn't advise one? I know that there is a really good one in Nova Scotia that handles a lot of Autism patients there (other conditions as well). I can't remember the name, but I'm sure you could get it if you contacted the Nova Scotia Abilities Foundation.
Contact L'arche as well, they would probably point you in the right direction.
This place has several different types of group homes in Ontario:
http://www.kerrysplace.com/main.htm...
Good luck!
A good way to treat autism is by taking 2-3 liters of water daily and taking abt 600 mg magnesium daily for 6-12 months. Longer period may be necessary depending on the case. Magnesium eases and calms the mind and also corrects hyperactivity in children. I have tried this and it works...No need for treatment centers. They got no alternatives to treat autism anyway. If they did, there shld be no autistic people today.

Zolpidem (ambien, stilnox) is very addictive. It is only meant to be used for 2 - 4 weeks. See this page for more info http://www.non-benzodiazepines.org.uk/zo...
It is also a controlled drug so if you are caught with it without a prescription you could get in trouble with the law for transportation or posession of a controlled drug.
Ambien causes addiction similar to benzodiazepines. Be careful.
Ambien is so short acting that people sometimes find they need to keep popping them every couple of hours to stave off the anxiety and freaky withdrawal symptoms during the day or else take benzodiazepines during the day. You don't wanna get addicted to it. The anxiety and and muscle cramps and other withdrawal symptoms are very unpleasant.
There are no reputable companies that sell drugs online..you might end up getting good pills or they could be expired...I personally wouldnt risk it...why not just get a rx for them? I have a rx for Ambien and Xanex
http://www.rxmex.net look under sleepaids.
The site appears to be real sluggish tonite. Must be heavy traffic. I have ordered from them for years. Original packaging, blister packs. I ordered generic Zyrtec and received it in a blister pack with glaxosmithkline printed on it. Same maker, just generic name.
Does anyone know of a product that gets rid of cracked heels?
My girlfrined has got minging cracked heels and I find it a real turn-off... I need to get her something to get rid of the problem, can anyone suggest anything that might work?
Answer:
I have tried many products, as I have this problem continually. Use the netrogena advanced moisturizing when they are not cracked, and emu oil when they are. After applying the emu oil, carefully put on a clean cotton sock. Stretch it so it doesn't wipe off the paste.
I just bought some by Scholl, its an intense moisturiser sepcifically for the heels, its blummin fab, bought it in boots :)
vitamin e cream is really good for dry skin. She should apply it twice a day
Dr. Scholl's

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula
Cracked Heel Moisturizing Treatment - 2 oz
Sally Hansen
18 Hour Cracked Heel Creme - 3 oz
$5.95
Peppermint Foot Therapy by Upper Canada
Cracked Heel Treatment with 10% Shea Butter - 2 oz

Dude in Australia there is some stuff called Eulactol and it is sensational.. Im always working with water, which causes my heels to do the same thing and this stuff really works a treat and if u go to the website u can normally get free samples..
1. Get a sanitary pedicure and let them slough off deed skin.
2. Use pumice bar daily while showering.
3. Put a cream designed for cracked heels and cover with socks. Even Vicks salve will help - the key is to keep moisturized.
4. There is this foot gel avail at http://www.bebeautiful.com that I use on my Dad's feet due to diabetes and you don't want to use any sharp items on diabetics. It's great -- the callus rub right off.
You could always treat her to a monthly spa pedicure.
you can't get rid of the problem, you can onol treat it, put lotion , vaseline, most any thing on it

Does anyone know if there's a paternity test I can buy as a kit?
I think that maybe one of my kids might not be mine but I want to do it without anyone else knowing.
Answer:
There are many for $99. You still must send samples into a lab. There is no way to do it completely at home. Here is one:
https://www.homedna.com/paternity_test.h...
i dont think such a kit exists.and with good reason...plenty of broken homes may come out of it...
I'm fairly certain most of the DNA testing companies that charge top dollar out there have eliminated the possiblity of over-the-counter paternity testing.
If there is one it's gotta be pretty expensive. You need to check with a doctor and see if he can direct you to a DNA lab...
If you go online and google it , there are several affordable option and they mail it to your house.
In order to have an accurate paternity test result, you have to have the mother, father, and baby's DNA. So, the answer is no. The mother will have to submit to the test or you can sue her and make her submit to it.
Not yet - that's a DNA test and the cheapest I heard of (a couple years ago) is $189 or so for the most basic form.

Does anyone know if cuprofen (a ibuprofen tablet maximum strengh) cause any problems with the pill.?
Answer:
i dont think so its not a antibiotic
I have never heard of that interacting with the pill, but antibiotics can mess it up. Call your local pharmacy and ask them, they will be glad to help you.
No, it shouldn't. Only ani-biotics cause trouble and causes the pill to become ineffective.
I doubt it. I was recommended to take this last week by my local chemist, he is very knowledgeable and if there was any chance of it affecting the pill, I'm sure he would have advised me. It is just a painkiller.
The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.
Disturbances of the gut such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion or abdominal pain
Bleeding from the stomach or intestine
Stomach or duodenal ulcer
Retention of water in the body tissues (fluid retention), resulting in swelling (oedema)
Headache
Dizziness
Depression
Confusion
Drowsiness
Balance disorders involving the inner ear (vertigo)
Sensation of ringing or other noise in the ears (tinnitus)
Visual disturbances
Abnormal reaction of the skin to light, usually a rash (photosensitivity)
Allergic reactions such as severe skin rashes, swelling of the lips, tongue and throat (angioedema) or narrowing of the airways (bronchospasm)
Kidney, liver or blood disorders
Cuprofen is a 400mg table which is the same dose and taking two of the regular (it makes no difference how). I used take ibuprofen regularly and I am on the pill and there is no interaction. Cuprofen will not stop the pill working.
no u should be fine.antibiotics are the ones to watch.
They are fine to take with the pill, you dont need to worry about any medicine really (even antibiotics) if you are on a progesterone only pill.
Does anyone know how to remove the lump or bump on your ear cause by piercings.?
I have an bump on the back of my ear caused by an bad piercing and it wil not go away. Can anyone give me any suggestions. Or does anyone know if it has to be surgically removed and is the surgery pricey?
Answer:
The bump is called a keloid. It's not necessarily because the piercing was bad. Some people are just more prone to it than others. Talk to your doctor about how to get it removed.
I had one of them.
I had it removed in the doctors office, just a shot of deadener and they take it off.
I think I paid like $250 to have that one and another mole taken off at the same time.
Though that was quite a few years ago.

Does anyone know how to overcome phobias?
I'm a total germaphobe. I would probably die if i didn't have my purell, but my phobia is really preventing me from living my life. I'm still young and all the cases i know about have gotten worse over time, and i dont want to get any worse. please don't post things like "just eat" or "get over it". i want real solutions. pleaseee!
Keep in mind that this is a real phobia and i can't just get over it.
Answer:
i would say slowly do things different one by one. start from the lowest germaphobe thing you do, like cleaning after everything...or not leaving dishes in the sink, and do the opposite.start small and work up. But you dont want to become a pig so some germaphobic things are ok, like having a clean place. Just dont clean after everytime someone touches something.
Start small, work your way big, and ask your friends what it is that you do the worst.
Hope that helps! :D
Talk to your doctor or a counselor they can help.
Go to a therapist.
Phobias can take over your and it is best to seek professional help ot overcome your fears.
There are some techniques you can do yourself, but it is best if you go to a professional.
Admitting your fears is difficult and I wish you good luck!
face your phobia get someone to help you through it because if you don't you could have serious problems all over the board
Take a leap of faith

Does anyone know how to help scars fade out after surgery?
I had surgery, a cancer tumor removed from calf to ankle. I had 18 stitches. Does anyone know of a remedy to help the scar heal quickly?
Answer:
Buy Vitamin E caplets, prick them open with a needle and rub the gel on the scar 2x a day for as long as you can stand doing it.. It doesn't hurt.. But it works!
Not generally.I still have a scar on my stomach. If you are concerned then ask your doctor.
Rub some Vitamin E on it and massage it to break down the scar tissue.
ooo cancer..bad. Well glad you are okay! : ) my friend had warts removed and afterward she rubbed Vitamin E on it, they also have weird scar stuff in the store if you would really like to go down that road
My surgeon suggested skin cream with Vitamin E after my thyroid cancer surgery. I think it did real well! You cannot even see a scar at all now.
