Does Lasik prevent cataracts?
Answer:
No it doesn't prevent cataracts. Although Lasik surgery is very safe and has been around for a number of years, I personally suspect that it might actually accelerate cataract formation. I don't have any studies to back me up on that, but that is my professional opinion. The one thing that has been proven to slow the formation of a cataract is a daily multivitamin.
