Just the thought of a tube being inserted that way is very disturbing to me. I'm thinking about having it done one day but I'm scare of the unknow comfort level/pain. People that has had it done, what do you think? For ladies, is it worst than having a pap smear done? Thanks in advance!

it is just an fancy name for enema
tube is lubricated
the only thing you feel is the fluid filling the bowel
it is not painful but you will feel a slight pressure
not worse than a pap smear
it should only be used for a pre-op cleansing or for severe constipation
unless you would prefer a preforated bowel and a subsequent colostomy
then you never need a colonic cleanse again
There is absolutely no reason to have a "colonic cleanse" that is pure BS and medical quackery. Don't waste your time and money or risk a complication such as bowel perforation for something that has NO medical benefit.
If you want to cleanse your colon, take a laxative.
If you do decide to get the old water hose treatment, ...
it actually feels pretty good...
but messy and embarrassing.
