I had a real bad stomach ache with nausea and it wasn't going away. I smoked a good amount of weed with my friend and honest to god it went right away. It was such a relief. Anyone else find that this is true, or was my case a coincidence?
Answer:
It helps me and everyone I knows stomach. It's crazy but so awesome =)
They give cancer patients those marijuana pills so I guess that's right on but if you get the munchies you may get your belly ache back depending on what you eat when you're high.
Yup it sure does! Thats why so many cancer patients that are receiving Chemo therapy smoke it. it makes you hungary for some reason.
i think its a coincidence
Ummm...could you repeat the question?
Just for a lil.but eventually it will come back after you get the munchies!!
yes. it does. when ever my stomach hurts, if i smoke, i feel better.
WEED SHOULD BE LEGAL.
it grows in the dirt and is natural. what is not natural is an 80 year old guy w/ a hard on. thats crazy. we can make an old guy hard but we're sending people to jail for smoking something that grows in the dirt... oh, society, you sicken me.
lol. no, society is ok, but weed should be legal and 80yr olds with hard penises should not.

Does marijuana make everyones heart beat faster, or is it just me?
I'm a daily smoker, have been for over a year, but I still get that little anxious feeling sometimes when my heart starts beating real fast and ****. Is it because there is a foreign chemical in our body so the heart beats faster to try and..damnit i don't know?
Answer:
Dude, it's the pot...I have smoked everyday for almost 5 or 6 years. Anxiety is part of the side effects of the drug. It effects everyone differently. It still to this day makes my heart beat a little faster, but truly, the more you smoke, the more your body gets used to the drug, therefore the side effects, like anxiety or rapid heartbeat lessen over time.
paranoia and red eys is part of it too, those are just 2 things I don't have to deal with anymore because I have smoked for so long. Anxiety comes hand in hand with the rapid heart beat because as soon as notice your heart beating a little faster you get anxious, some people just totally spazz out..OMG THERE'S SOME THING WRONG WITH MY HEART DUDE...Some people literally think they are having a heart attack. i promise it's just the pot, it will wear off over time... NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!! MARIJUANA DOES NOT LEAD TO DEATH UNLESS YOUR A COMPLETE MORON!!! DON'T LISTEN TO THESE FOOLS!!!
I think it does because your not getting enough oxygen, because you are inhaling smoke, so your heart says hey dude wheres the oxygen ?all I'm getting is smoke, let me pump faster to find more oxygen, the chemicals coat your lungs, makes them inefficient
Yeah, um, that's probably the paranoia.
Naw, just yours and Ice Cube (remember that part on Friday... LOL.
Craig: I think I hear my heart beating faster
Smokey: Aww man don't start trippin
Most people don't realize that marijuana is a stimulant. For people with high blood pressure, smoking can be very detrimental to their health.
Why are u smoking pot in the first place. It does make everyones heart beat faster which can often lead to death.
Yes everyone's heart beats faster when they smke mary jane. IT"S BECAUSE YOUR HIGH!
If Ur a guy, it will give you man breasts - seriously. And they will never go away.
The marijuana trade is (naturally) not monitored, so you could be smoking anything and not know it. How do you know that someone didn't add something else to it or soak the plants down with pesticides and such?
It's such a dangerous habit and drug dealers (the big guys) are only out to make a buck. They could care less who they hurt along the way.
Good luck. :)
It's called a rush...like when the marijuana hits your blood stream and starts to take effect..it's very fast, so your heart has to work harder, and faster.
Actually, what is happening is your brain is slowing down, creating the illusion that your heart is beating faster. Or maybe the doritos are clogging an artery, making the heart work harder.
more likely that there was something else in there besides the marijuana that is causing that. there's no way of knowing what the stuff you get is laced with.
that's the problem with illegal drugs; there's no FDA to look out and make sure they aren't full of nasty stuff you weren't expecting.
MARIJUANA IN YOUR BRAIN!!
baically no, for me it makes everything slow down, the only thing i can think of is that you are a daily, and your burnt out, you body is so used to it that it isnt really affected by it anymore, i like weed, and i hate it when people tell me this, but you should not do it soo much
If I were you I will stop smoking it. Unless your Dr. recommend you, it is not worthy to smoke it.
Stop smoking you are going to die! Because you have fast heart rate!
Yes it happens in everyone. Smoking is not a depressant like beer but a stimulant that speeds up the heart and increases alertness and wakefulness.
It's not you, it's inhaling the smoke and not taking in that much oxygen. The same thing happens with ciggarettes.
YOu can get a heart attack from it. Also depending on who is smoking you can also get very paranoid.
No idea!
When marijuana is smoked, its effects begin immediately after the drug enters the brain and last from 1 to 3 hours. If marijuana is consumed in food or drink, the short-term effects begin more slowly, usually in 1/2 to 1 hour, and last longer, for as long as 4 hours. Smoking marijuana deposits several times more THC into the blood than does eating or drinking the drug.
Within a few minutes after inhaling marijuana smoke, an individual's heart begins beating more rapidly, the bronchial passages relax and become enlarged, and blood vessels in the eyes expand, making the eyes look red. The heart rate, normally 70 to 80 beats per minute, may increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute or, in some cases, even double. This effect can be greater if other drugs are taken with marijuana.

Does marijuana always leave your system within one month?
I dont know if it is really true, or just speculation, but always understood that it took marijuana one month to leave your system after smoking. Can it be shorter or longer than one month? and does it depend on HOW OFTEN and HOW MUCH was smoked?
Answer:
i smoked a few times a day and got pretty high each time for atleast 8 months strait till i had a test and when i did i was clean after 2 and a half weeks. exorcise at first and drink a lot of water. thc stores in your fat cells which is why its in your system for so long unlike drugs. it all depends on how you treat your body when you need to get clean. dont eat a lot of fattening foods and dont exorcise to close to a test cause all that does is get the thc flowing threw your system when you have to pee
well it can stay in your hair for as most as three months. but you wont be able to trace it after like 2 or 3 weeks if you take a drug test
It does depend on how much and how often a great deal.
The first time you smoke the marijuana will leave your system in aprox. 48 hours. However if you have smoked everyday for a month you are looking at about 3 months to get it out of your system. So it will varrie to as if the trace will leave your body in a month as to how often and howmuch
It really depends on how much you smoke. If you smoke it continually then it takes about a month. but if you only smoke it once a month or something like that then it would only stay for about 2-3 weeks. but the average person who smokes it all the time it's known to stay in your system for 30 days at least. If you have piss tests and want to pass it----drink like 1 gallon of water like 30 minutes before you go in. You'll pass it every time.
How about NOT smoking anything? Ya know, 1 out of every 1 person who doesn't smoke, won't have to worry about that.
it takes up to 90 days for blood and up to two years by hair so no it is not out of your system with in a month
Technically if the oldest hair on your head is 1 year old, say 6 inches, they could find evidence of it at any point during that time and even tell when you last smoked, but blood tests for a night on the buzz I think are clear enough in a few days, 72 hours, if not blame any low result on being somewhere around second hand smoke. Second hand smoke is PC now as well as BS!
Marijuana can show up in drug tests up to 90 days from when you smoked. It is absorbed into your fat cells so it hangs around a lot longer than most drugs.
It all depends on your system and what you put into it. You can use natural cleansing herbs to cleanse the sysem rather quickly. Golden Seal Root is a good way I am sure there are many. You can ask at a nutrition store, but if you tell them you are cleansing to beat a drug test they'll tell you to get lost. If you tell them you are fasting for a couple of days and what to cleanse your system in the process they'll give you plenty of herbs to do the trick. Hope this helps. I know this works as I have done it many times. In answer to your question 30 days is the average time to leave the system, it really does depned on your metabolisam, how much water you drink how much you sweat, etc. 30 days is only an average could be longer could be shorter each person is different.
The short answer is no. It not only depends on how often and how much you smoke, but on your personal body type as well. The more fat, the more is stored and for longer periods. An infrequent smoker can test clear within a week. Interestingly, that same infrequent smoker may test negative for a couple days before a urine test shows up as positive. Heavy smokers may test dirty for up to 90 days. 30 days is more of an average.

Does losing weight help you pass a marajuana drug test?
I have been losing weight since going on the nicotine patch and significantly decreasing the amount I smoke.
I have also heard that being a cronic user will help me metaoblize the drugs faster. Is this true?
Answer:
the length of time pot stays in your system is longer if you are heavier but I don't hink losing weight will help you pass the test. Stop smoking and drink lots of water to flush your system. There are some detox items in the stores but a word of warning, a lot of companies test for these as well.
Nah and nah.
NO, stop the drug use and you will pass the test, besides that is illegal right ?
pot 30 days to get clean
THC is stored in your fat cells so the less fat you carry around, the faster toxins will leave your system.
No, the only sure way to pass the test is to not smoke pot.
No, losing weight does not help you pass a marijuana drung test. It stays in your system for at least 3 weeks after you quit smoking. So the best way to pass the drug test is to abstain for at least 3 weeks.

Does looking at the sun make you sneeze?
Do you think it helps?
Answer:
Actually the sun causing you to sneeze is thought to be a genetic related problem, and no one really knows why it happens.
It seems to only occur in some people, but not in others. For example, my boyfriend sneezes his head off on a sunny day, while I am unaffected.
You may find this article from Newsday interesting. It talks about the problem of 'photic sneezers.'
http://www.newsday.com/news/health/ny-hs...
yeah and blind
LOL! No and who told you that? It might probably make you blind.
yes, the eye pathway and the sneeze reflex pathway are shared in the human. It is why it happens.
no
sometimes.
i dont know about some people but it always does for me.
No it doesn't..but my husband yes.
i think that people always told me that it helped so now it is embedded in my head and its a mind thing and so yeah it helps :)
I dont think the sun makes you sneeze. I think the light helps you to sneeze if you are already going to sneeze.
Yes! It does! Whenever I go outside in the morning I sneeze! My grandpa always told me that he was allergic to the morning sun!
No, haha. Maybe looking up at the trees with all the pollen would?
it always works for me
It doesn't make me, but it does make everybody in my friends family.
no ti makes it so you DONT sneeze
yes and not only natural light as in sun but any artificial light makes me sneeze but that is when i go close to a bulb or tube light
Looking AT the sun isn't a good idea! However, bright light in general makes certain muscles in your eyes contract, and some of them can put pressure on your sinuses making you want to sneeze or something like that. Bright light makes me sneeze all the time!
yes it always does for me an my little cousin. everytime we go outside and look at the sun we both sneeze.i think its a little weird.
If you sneeze by looking at the sun or a bright light you are one of the quarter of the population who can do this - it's a matter of genetics. It tends to run in families.
If you sneeze because of this, if you have that feeling that you need to sneeze but can't, looking at the sun or a bright light usually works, but it's not guaranteed.

Does Lasik prevent cataracts?
Answer:
No it doesn't prevent cataracts. Although Lasik surgery is very safe and has been around for a number of years, I personally suspect that it might actually accelerate cataract formation. I don't have any studies to back me up on that, but that is my professional opinion. The one thing that has been proven to slow the formation of a cataract is a daily multivitamin.
No it does not.
Does lack of sleep shorten your lifespan?
I get on average 6-7 hrs of sleep during weekdays. However my job do require me to work nights often, so at times i only get to hit the sack during the days. Please serious answers only as I am counting on the advice..if ur a doctor the more better!
Answer:
It could--by weakening your immune system. We need a certain amount of REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which occurs after we have been asleep for a while. It could also harm your physical and mental well-being.
Try MELATONIN (an over-the-counter sleep supplement), which is available in the vitamin sections of Walmart, supermarkets, health food stores and pharmacies. It has worked effectively for people with jet lag--and for those who need to sleep different hours--because they work rotating shifts. This way, you could get more sleep on those days when you can only sleep in the daytime.
i hope not other wise i prolly lost like 5 years...
well if it does i should be dead i get 5 sometimes 4 hours of sleep i just drink red bull to make up for the lack of sleep
This article is from the government on sleep.
http://science.education.nih.gov/supplem...
yes more that smoking tobacco products
i know it causes tiredness...i get around 5-4 hrs sleep cause of work load but once in a week you ought to make sure to get 8hrs sleep...i suppose your body goes on "overtime" after you are unable to rest sufficiently for a prolonged period of time..it does however effect ones immune system.
not directly but if health complications arises due to sleeplessness that may leads to chronic illness which may lessen the spine of life.
that is what all the reports say. when you are asleep that gives your body time to repair itself.

Does it work if you put neosporin on your bleeding pimple?
I had this one bad pimple on my forehead, and i popped it. (i know i shouldn't have...) anyway it started bleeding. Is ok to clean it and put a small baind aid and neosporin on it, or is that bad?
Answer:
You can put a small bandaid on it, but it probably isn't necessary. You should wash your face well with a non-scented soap (I prefer Ivory) and leave it free of make-up. You can put neosporin on it if you want.
No.
Neosporin is good for cuts, etc. but be careful when putting it on your face. It's base is petroleum and will seriously clog your pores. Next time just wash it with antibacterial facial cleanser and keep it clean and dry.

Does it smell when people pee in the shower?
And do you even pee in the shower?
Answer:
Only when I eat a lot of asparagus. It sure does kill all the athletes foot though...
yes from the hot water
ew
DUH
don't know, never knew it happened
Yes %26 Yes
ew no lol
let me pee on ur foot and u tell me
I dont go around smelling peoples showers but I am going to guess that any where you piss it is going to smell like piss
try and see
I would imagine it does.. and no its like peeing in a pool or the ocean... gross.
i think at some time or another everyone has.
Now does it smell depends on if you have drank lots of water or not. If you have it shouldn't have an oder, but if you haven't means you need to, if it has an oder to it means that your kidneys are workin overtime to clean everything out which isn't good.
yes and yes but if you pee DIRECTLY into the drain it doesent smell as bad.
Everyone has at one time or another and it's OK to do. No odor either. And peeing in the shower can help cure athletes foot. No kidding!!
Hey who cares? (Nobody knows.)
I heard once that Madonna pees in her shower.
It happens to anyone, because of the water - especially if the water is hot or if you haven't pee for time before!
And ...yes! It smells; just because water has the "ability" to make smells more understandable - but it's temporary.
...but if you pee in the shower without making a shower...!
If you have to... then clean it v-e-r-y well!
pee smells...add some really hot water to it and it smells pretty bad.
I'm a girl and I have peed in the shower before. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that I've admitted that.

Does it matter how much activated carbon the purifier has?
I'd liketo use the air purifier to remove odours/VOCs/etc.. and the Honeywell/Kaz purifiers come with an activated carbon sheet (model 38002). Would this be adequate or useful?
Or would it make a significant difference to buy a higher-end purifier that have lbs of activated carbon like from AllerAir or Austin? I know that wth the Honeywell the user must replace the activated carbon filter every 3mo, as opposed to longer lasting lifespans for those of the higher end purifiers, but aside from shelf life, is there a substantial difference in the "adsorbability" of the cheaper (ie Honeywell/Kaz) activated carbon and those of the more expensive brands?
Answer:
If an air filter has the standard 2 filter system and a good powered fan, then the difference between a "high end" filter and a less expensive setup is the PRICE.
I'll confess, my air filters DON'T have activated charcoal. They have the 2 filters with an ionizer. I'm very happy with the job they do, but then, I live in the country, so the need for activated charcoal filtration isn't an issue. I vacuum off the primary filter regularly (easy to be reminded since I use them on high power when I'm vacuuming).
Activated charcoal is activated charcoal no matter what the system. You'll do well with any model. It doesn't have to be expensive.

Does it hurt to get a colonic cleanse?
Just the thought of a tube being inserted that way is very disturbing to me. I'm thinking about having it done one day but I'm scare of the unknow comfort level/pain. People that has had it done, what do you think? For ladies, is it worst than having a pap smear done? Thanks in advance!
Answer:
it is just an fancy name for enema
tube is lubricated
the only thing you feel is the fluid filling the bowel
it is not painful but you will feel a slight pressure
not worse than a pap smear
it should only be used for a pre-op cleansing or for severe constipation
unless you would prefer a preforated bowel and a subsequent colostomy
then you never need a colonic cleanse again
There is absolutely no reason to have a "colonic cleanse" that is pure BS and medical quackery. Don't waste your time and money or risk a complication such as bowel perforation for something that has NO medical benefit.
If you want to cleanse your colon, take a laxative.
If you do decide to get the old water hose treatment, ...
it actually feels pretty good...
but messy and embarrassing.

Does insect repellent expire?
I found 2 full bottles in a drawer from like 2 or 3 summers ago...is it still good or should I just throw it out?
Answer:
yes they do. The replent can be dissoved over time, the smell maybe gone, and the effect of it may not be as well. But this situation dosn't happen unless repelent is left for more than 5-6 years.
Pretty much everything losses its effectiveness over time. Check the bottle, it most likely has an expiration date on it. If you can't find one, I would just throw them out and buy a new bottle. It's not expensive stuff to buy and it's better to use something that you know is new and good.

well, if left to itself probably days if you aren't sweating alot... However, you could scrub with some soap and water.
Yes, of course. our skin will absorb any liquid...
Does inhaling a very bad smell harm your body in any way?
Answer:
possibly depending on what it is your inhaling and how much of it. the body has some natural filtering of some things but given enough quantity, the body would not be able to get enough good air to stay functioning and one would pass out. Take car fumes for example. You breath them in all the time but if you were in a room of 80% car fumes, you'd pass out and die eventually within minutes. Things like bus fumes contain sulfer and that stuff can clog your lungs and over time could hamper your lung capacity. So its based on how much for how long. Read up on confined spaces OSHA standards. It tells percentages of acceptable gasses etc.
Anything you inhale will replace the oxygen that you should be inhaling. That is obviously not healthy. Beyond that, it depends on what you are inhaling. Some bacteria can be inhaled and will make you sick. You really need to find out what is causing the smell.
It would depend on what the smell is. Certainly chemicals or pollution would be harmful but just bad odors shouldn't cause you any serious damage.
If you are Allergic or you have Azma , then it does.
Does ingesting contact solution cause diarrhea?
Or is it an urban myth?
Answer:
It's pretty much a myth. Contact solutions have a surfactant, though, like a soap, that could cause diarrhea. It is unwise to ingest contact solutions.
a kid just got into big legal trouble cuz he put saline solution (found in contact solution) in his teachers coffee. It hospitalized the teacher.

Does hydrogen peroxide kill mosquito bites?
i tried it once and it worked really well but does it like kill skin or something?
Answer:
nope, vinegar kills the stinging feeling, but peroxide doens't do anything to my bites.
Hydrogen peroxide is used all the time for a topical first aid treatment, so no, it does not kill skin.
no nothing can kill a mosquito bite
how can you kill a mosquito bite if it isn't living?
*shaking head* obe thing, hydorgen peroxide only helps to desotry bacteria and etc. in the skin caused by penerate in skin. Hydrogen peroxide is actually posion to skin..however genreally the skin is dead surface on top, and nope it doesn't kill the skin or something only bacteria etc.

Does huffing gas cause brain damage?
Answer:
DUH !!!!!
yes it is very dangerous and destorys brain cells
yes !!! dont do it !
Yes, almosy guaranteed. Do not ever huff anything. Smoke cigarettes or something. Be a normal experimenting teen.
You better believe it!! Huffing anything causes brain damage. Only problem is you don't know which brain cells are being destroyed or how that will affect you. Maybe you'll have a stroke. Maybe you'll become paranoid. Maybe you'll die. Maybe you won't but you'll be a vegetable. What is the risk you're willing to take? By the way... all the above applies to exstacy, GHB, Special K, and all the other club drugs as well.
Yes
Hmm let me Think...YES please don't do it you can get brain dammage or even worse die from it.
YES; and paint, and anything else.
When people "huff" gas or the fumes from spray paint they are depriving their brain of oxygen. That's what makes them feel high.
Do it enough and the lack of oxygen causes brain cells to die. This is why long term huffers act like they have had a serious brain injury: because they have, it just took place over time.
well u had to ask so probably!
oh btw it kills you!
Considering ur question I'd say it already has.
yes - or death...
Does hormone growth pills help ya be taller?
Well im talking about as if ur 15+ and if it might help increase ur growth
Answer:
it isnt safe. it can cause hormonal imbalance. my friend took some of these pills and at first he was the tallest one, but he stopped growing pretty fast, and became one of the shortest ppl in class. it also causes puberty to come faster, not that fun. best way to grow taller is to drink milk, exercise, jump, swim, and stretch. stretching most importantly.
Hell yeah, if your a male under about 21 you have all the chance in the world of growing.
Growth hormone pills or supplements do not have the same effect as that produced naturally by the body and may offset the delicate balance of the body's proper hormone regulation. In this respect, taking any sort of growth hormone pills or supplements would not be effective and may result in potentially dangerous and negative side effects.
Ask your doctor to avoid complications form taking hormone growth pills.

Does henna have any carcinogens?
I've been trying on Indian henna tattoos a lot lately and I'd like to know if it can be harmful to me in any way. The henna I'm using is from India and supposedly without any additives, but what I'd like to know is whether the plant itself has carcinogens. Even if it takes a certain temperature to release them, I'd like to know what they are.
Answer:
I would stay away from black henna.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/henna...
I doubt any harmful carcinogens, even if there are it's minuscule.

Does he like me? im confused?!?
Okay this guy n i r just acquaintances... he askd me out n we went out fr coffee n a movie the next day, he had got a sweet little wind chime as a gift fr me.. and since then he calls every once in 3 days or so... so... whats up with him? does he like me / not? if he did, wudnt he call more often? im confused...
Answer:
.how is this part of health.unless and until you consider this as something that will affect your mental peace or something.
besides that i think he's calling often enough ...probably since he's just met you he doesn't want you to feel too intimidated by him..yea he probably likes you...wait a while and you'll find out..geez.
He might not be calling you too often because either:
a) He's busy
b) Wants to take it slow
c) Thought he was more interested than he is now
d) Doesnt want to look desperate
e) Wants you to make some moves
f) He doesnt like talking on the phone.
If he asks you out again, its a good sign.
However, rather than driving yourself crazy with 'why'... just go with the flow.
He's not calling you constantly because he has a life outside of you. You might want to take a look at yourself, are you too needy? It sounds like it. The majority of guys don't like petty, needy, whiny girls. Be mature. You're not in the 7th grade.
Yes, he likes you. The fact that he asked you out indicates he likes you enough to overcome fear of rejection - a big hurdle. The fact that he continues to call at this rate indicates continued, if not heightened interest.
Keep in mind that guys generally like to talk less than women. It has to do with how the male and female human brains are specialized for different tasks. I've found "Why men don't listen and women can't read maps" by Allan and Barbara Pease a great resource in understanding these differences between genders.

Does having low white blood cells have to do with anemia??
my doctor called me back after my routine check up and they said i have low white blood cells, i have anemia does that have something to do with it??
Answer:
no - anemia is realted to the red cells. if you know your white cell count, you might want to check out www.labtestsonline.org they have lots of information on lab tests.
lts possible
i don't think so..only your red blood cells do.
No, anemia is a low RED blood cell count.
No, it is the red blod cells that have to do with anemia. A high white cell count means there is some infection in your body that the immune system is trying to get rid of.
I'd do a search on white blood cells if I were you to find out more.
Usually not. But if your white cells are low, then you will be very suseptable to getting infections. Your white cells are the guys that come to our bodies defense when we get sick and when they are low, then there is nothing to fight off the bugs. You need to go back to your doctor so that he can find out why your are low and treat it.
Anemia specifically refers to low red cells. However, red cells, white cells, and platelets all come from the bone marrow, and it is possible for all three cell lines to be low (pancytopenia) from a variety of different disease processes. A low white cell count in and of itself is pretty nonspecific and is not indicative of any particular disease, especially if you dont' have any symptoms.
Did you ask your dr.? there are several reasons for having
low white cells .insist that your dr. check all possible avenues
to get the right answers
It depends on what type of anemia you have, aplastic anemia happens when the bone marrow is being destroyed by the body's immune system. This causes a decrease in all types of cells - red blood cells, white blood cells %26 platelets. Aplastic anemia is very rare but serious, have you talked to your doctor about this? Aplastic anemia is the only type of anemia which typically affects the body's white blood cells. Other anemias affect the number of red blood cells. A decreased white blood cell count could mean that you might have an infection. It can also be caused by a vitamin or nutritional deficiency. Talk to your doctor about their recommendations for treatment (if any are needed).

Does having 9 points in Hemoglobin cause my dizziness?
Is it low or normal?
I drink a lot of water for years, can that be one of the causes for having it that low?
Answer:
Normal values in an adult are 12 to 18. Low hemoglogin means you're anemic or iron deficient. Water isn't a factor. Iron is.
Below-normal hemoglobin levels may lead to anemia. Symptoms of anemia are Fatigue, Weakness, Fainting, Breathlessness, Heart palpitations (rapid or irregular beating), Dizziness, Headache, Ringing in the ears (tinnitus), Difficulty sleeping, Difficulty concentrating
It's a little low and it can cause dizziness...and OVER hydrating can cause it, but you'd have to slam water to do that. Drinking water rather than other beverages during the day won't cause it to be low. Low IRON can cause it.
Here's a list of possibilities, but please don't immediately think you've got the worst case scenario. Your doctor should be able to tell you what's happening.
Anemia.
Erythropoetin deficiency.
RBC destruction.
Hemorrhaging (bleeding).
Lead poisoning.
Malnutrition.
Iron, folate, vitamin B12 or vitamin B6 deficiency.
Overhydration
Yes, your hgb (hemoglobin) should be over 12 so a 9 is low.
i'm not a doctor but here's what i found about hemoglobin
http://www.anemiainstitute.org/patient/a...
there are lots of factors to be considered why you are getting dizzy, Rest (sleep 8 hours), Food (eat if you feel hungry, are they nutritious?), Exercises really help (do not push too hard), Drinking a lot of water is good for your body it helps you cleanses your body. And I don't think drinking water cause your hemoglobin to lower it's counts... If you are anemic you should take an Iron supplement. Oh and Blood pressure could also be the factor.(i'm also anemic) get well soon...^_^

Does hand sanitizer really weaken the immune system.?
And if so than how and is there any scientific way to prove this?
Answer:
I haven't heard that it weakened the immune system.
What it does do is spare the .3% or bacteria and give them ample room and food to mass produce. Soon hand sanitizer wont work because all bacteria will be immune.
No. You are exposed to germs by a whole lot of ways other than shoving your fist down your throat.
No who told you that!
it weakens the immune system of germs
No, but it does encourage new strains of resistant bacteria to form.
Why? Natural selection.
I don't know about scientific proof, however, anything you do that reduces the amount of germs that your boby comes in contact with will reduce your overall immunity. For example, if you've never boxed a day in your life and then were put up against Rocky, would you win? Of course not. Because you didn't have any practice. The same goes for your immune system. It has to fight off germs in order to become stronger. And it has been studied that children who are exposed to more germs as a child tend to get sick a lot less as adults. I'm serious and you should research this for the specifics.
The guy below me is right. Just look at the Virgin Soil Epidemic.
Only when you are talking about an infant or young child, if a child is never exposed to certain viruses and bacteria they never build antibodies against them, it won't weaken the immune system, it just won't know what to fight until it's too late, many studies have been done on this, the 10's of thousands of Indians that died from exposure to the common flu virus brought by Columbus is a good example.

Does hand sanitizer destroy your immune system?
I was in a class and a girl sneezed. She asked for hand sanitizer and another girl said that it will destroy your immune system.
Answer:
No it will not destroy your immune system. The girl was sort of right but mostly wrong. Putting rubbing alcohol (or hand sanitizer which is like 99% rubbing alcohol) on your hands won't destroy your immune system. It kills all germs and bacteria on your skin, whether they are "good" bacteria or bad.
Bad bacteria would be the bacteria that causes diseases, good bacteria would be the bacteria that normally lives on your skin, but doesn't harm us because we are so used to having them there. The bad thing about hand sanitizers is that it kills both, but it is speculated that there is a very very small percentage of bacteria that can survive anyway. And now that you've killed off every other bacteria around, you've only left the ones that are resistant. The resistant ones thereby have no one to compete with them for food or places to live, so they propogate quickly. So next time you use the hand sanitizer it won't kill them because the ones that survived last time are immune to it anyway. Course this doesn't happen everytime, or you can imagine how useless it would be already, this is what is speculated will happen slowly, and the reason that people are starting to criticize the use of the hand sanitizers.
Another example is antibiotics and bacteria. As we use antibiotics to kill bacteria, a small portion that survive due to resistantance then have no competition to reproduce because we killed the rest off. The problem is the antibiotic is now useless against them, so we have to make another one, and the process repeats itself. This is a very serious problem in the medical community and is the reason doctors won't prescribe antibiotics for colds or certain other diseases. Since they are caused by virus's which our bodies will slowly take care of themselves, by not using the antibiotics we don't give the bacteria a chance to build resistance against them.
So to go back to your original question. No, hand sanitizer (and for that matter antibiotics) do not destroy your immune system, they act to help it, but in doing so may result in stronger bacteria that are resistant and will therefore give our immune system a harder time.
The idea that antibacterial hand soaps contribute to resistant "superbugs" (and thereby threaten your immune system) is only a theory... and that does NOT even include alcohol-based hand sanitizers. The alcohol acts quickly to kill germs and then it evaporates, typically within 15 seconds. That's not enough time for germs to get comfy, mutate and develop a resistance.
The best source for good information on the subject is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov). They highly recommend the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, particularly when there is not convenient access to water.

Does hair protects our brain?
Answer:
It protects our scalp
Noooo....Your skull (that hard roundish thing under your scalp) and the fluids that fill the void between the brain and the skull protects your brain from injury.
your kidding right? yes your brain is located directly under your hair so better hope you don't go bald.
No, your cranium does a better job. But then, it may also depend on how much gel you apply.
I suppose if you have a lot and wrap it around your head like a helmut
yes aginst everything, you dont even need a helment anymore..
No, the bone mass does it.
I don't know about that, but maybe it custions your head when you sleep.
Well, it keeps your head warmer than without, so I imagine that genetically the purpose of hair was to protect your brain. Protect it from getting cold, that is. We have hats now :).
no our skull dose
Your skull protects your brain.
No your skull does!
nooooooooooooo..do you have an anatomy, think of it!!
how about the person who do not have hair..the one that protects our brain is skull...and.the membrain inside as covering...
no! your skill protects your brain%26#92;your brain is first and then your skill and your skin
No
I hope not. Otherwise, I am in trouble.
Good Luck
the skull not the hair protects the brain.
Yes. I think hair on your scalp helps to trap heat and keep your head, and by extension, your sensitive brain, warm and safe. Thus, it contributes to your body's temperature regulation, just like the hair on your arms (which I think are thinner and sparser because they're protecting less important contents than your head).
no dear, your skull does.
Does GLADEAU Vitamin Water work?
Especially the Focus flavor? (kiwi strawberry) Does it really help you to focus? I have a problem with paying attention so I'm trying to find ways to naturally help my concentration. I don't want to be on meds that'll end up causing some terrible side effect. And besides their are some ingrediants that I'm allergic to.
Answer:
No, and it's full of sugar. A better alternative would be Glaceau's SmartWater. Pretty tasty as far as bottled waters go. No calories!
If you need to learn to focus, try meditation. Meditate for a few minutes every day and you should be able ot focus your thoughts better.
Also, physically remove distractions from your workspace. Don't do your work near the TV. Shut off the radio. Move the computer to a different room. Stop multitasking. And if you can, lock other people out so they can't bug you.

Does getting more sleep at night really make a difference?
I have such a hard time getting up in the morning for work, but when I go to bed early I seem to be just as tired in the morning as when I stay up late.
Does getting a few extra hours of sleep really make a difference?
Answer:
try getting a good nights sleep for a few days in a row
usually it will take yourr body more than one night to recover from being tired
also i'd recommend takng a multivitamin in the morning
yes. whether you feel it or not, your body is more relaxed, less prone to stress, and more energized. you may not feel the effects right away when you wake up, but in the long run it will make a difference. also, more sleep=your body becoming run down less
It can. Getting enough sleep is always important, but some people are also just "morning" people and some are evening or night people. I'm more like you. ALWAYS dragging when getting out of bed but usually have a little extra left to give at the end of the day. Still, if I haven't gotten enough sleep all bets are off.
Yes, it really does. Our bodies are designed for a period of rest and sleep. During that time the brain sort of "reboots". Memories are stored and processed during this time. Women need a minimum of 7 hours every night. If you don't get enough sleep, you will pay for it in irritability, stamina, attention and focus, and it can even affect your immunity to sickness. Not to mention, it makes you hard to live with! Get your sleep!
yes you might not really notice at firt but later in the day you really notice when you still have energy and you a lot less stressed.
You are able to sleep and gets sleep. That is good sign. Which means you do not have any worries. Probably you work very hard and commuting to work and back also could be a reason. Be happy and enjoy life.
According to my doctor, the body needs at least 7 hours sleep every day to function properly. It may be worth discussing the symptoms of sleep apnea with your doctor; if you're not getting enough sleep, it's even more important that the quality of what you DO get is good.

Does getting a tat feel like getting alot of shots?
Answer:
I personally have 10 tattoos, and they are certainly uncomfortable, but they do not hurt or feel like a bunch if shots. It just feels like someone is dragging a sharp object across your skin, which is exactly what is being done. Depending on the area of your body their are different feelings, but never a feeling of getting a lot of shots.
no it feels like a very deep scratch
best way to describe it is like getting scratched by a cat
Does general anesthesia cause a person to be forgetful?
like after giving birth to a baby (normal childbirth NOT c-section)
Answer:
GA or General Anaesthesia is a state of unconsciuosness. So you remember nothing from surgery.
Theya lso use Morphine in the GA concotion to put you under and prevent pain. This itself can cause memory lose.
If you are under sedation, so just feeling lovely and carefree. It can feel as if you have gone to sleep, but you are not. The combination of these drugs, like Morphine and Medazalam will make you forget things during that time as well.
A GA will not cause memory lose after consciousness returns, but the drugs they give you for pain relief will.
Hope this helps.
About 5 years ago, they added a chemical to it so that if you wake up in the middle of an operation, you can have more, and you will not remember
Yes because genetal anaesthesia kills brain' Gray cells which will not be regenerated again.
The side effects of general anesthesia do cause forgetfulness but this would go away as the time passes by and probably after 2 weeks later one becomes totally normal. If it is not so then please contact the doctor.
First of all Im just wondering y general anesthesia for a normal birth?Or maybe there are other indications aside from that?
Anyway here are some of the effects of general anesthesia:
Minor side effects from general anesthesia and surgery are common. These include nausea, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, or a generalized "hang-over" type feeling. Fortunately these are most often not serious and resolve on their own in hours or a few days after surgery. Rarely these side effects are severe enough to require specific treatment or possibly further hospitalization.
It's just a myth. My househelp is still single, haven't undergone any operation, but sooooooo forgetful than me. By the way, i gave birth on a caesarian section.
Depending upon which medicines you receive the day of surgery, you may have difficulty remembering events on that day, even after you appear to be awake and ready to go home.
Ordinarily the effects should dissipate after roughly 24 hours.

Does Gatorade really help headaches go away?
Answer:
Gatorade is suppose to be used only if you have been exercising/sweating becuase it replenishes electrolites. Too much of anything is not good. I wouldnt drink it unless you need to. Therefore, I dont see how it could take a headache away..
it is a thirst quencher...but i never heard that it could remove headaches or whatever...
i dont think so,because of all the sugar, and stuff in it .
Yes, if your headache is caused from dehydration which is very possible.
Does Gastric Bypass Surgery Flush the drugs out of your system faster? Appearing like you aren't taking them?
Answer:
I doubt it. Gastric bypass surgery just bypasses the stomach, so the drugs would still be absorbed in the intestines. To avoid a positive drug test, don't take drugs.
I hope this helps, and wish you all the best.
No, since drugs are absorbed in the intestines, and those are not affected by gastric bypass. If you're considering gastric bypass as a means of eliminating drugs faster, you're going to make me laugh. No decent doctor will perform a gastric bypass unless you qualify as medically obese, which means you must weigh at least 100 pounds over your appropriate body weight.
Does Fucidin Ointment have any side effects?
I have mutiple small sebaceous cysts on my scrotum and all the treatments (doxycycline, acne gels) my doctors has prescribed has failed.
I read from http://askwaltstollmd.com/archives/seba/... about a guy who used a product called Fucidin on his cysts that successfully reduced their size or completely got rid of them.
A prescription is usually needed to order it from online pharamacies but I found and bought a small tube of it from a supplier via Ebay.
Is it generally safe to try on my cysts, and are there any side effects? I'm pretty much desperate about this at the moment, it's started to effect my confidence.
Answer:
Let me preface this by saying, I would never try a prescription product without a physician's clearance. Many times, several treatments have to be tried before one is found that will work for you. This is because we are all different.
Of course, Fucidin Ointment has side effects. Topical products, just like oral products, can have side effects. The side effects include:
irritation
rashes
burning when applying
diarrhea
allergic reactions (swelling, trouble breathing, hives, itching)

Does exposure to mold lower your IQ?
I've recently had a mold infestation in my sink and after reading the adverse health effects asociated with mold exposure, I have been growing very scared. Can some please answer my question and hopefully put my mind at ease?
Answer:
you'll probably be affected more by the thought of mold lowering your iq than mold actually lowering your iq.
it would probably have other effects, such as biological effects, but i highly doubt that it will lowere your IQ

Does expired medicine have any negative affects?
Acetaminophen w/Codeine is a prescription I've had for awhile and I just now noticed that it expired back in 12/19/06. If I take this for my killer headache will it help or hurt me?
Answer:
Expired meds may not work as well, but it probably won't hurt you. Next time, keep unused meds in the freezer to keep them from losing their potency.
sometimes it wont work, sometimes i will have negative effects on you
Expired meds sometimes decrease and/or increase in effectiveness. Medical pros say pitch all meds after the expiration date.
A nurse I know says medicine is good for up to 6 months after the expiration date. If you use it after that, it loses its effectiveness.

Does exercising cause your immune system to decrease?
I caught a nasty cold with fever, cough and all. My mate told me because i had been doing a lot of sports, my immune system weakened... how true is this?
Answer:
If you've been exhausting yourself and not getting adequate rest, nutrition and hydration, then yeah, I can see that...
Take some vitamin C every day - it will help you get better faster.
If you're sick you shouldn't exercise b/c it makes your immune system work harder to fight the sickness but under normal circumstances it should help your immune system IMO.
Never!!!!1
but exercising during a disease time may decrease your immunity.
Studies show that athletes such as marathon runners may have a temporarily suppressed immune system. You need to exercise at a very high level to get this result though.
www.themetabolicplan.com is a great site. univeralifesciences.com has a product called ageless xtra that is the best thing I have seen and my father is a pharmacist. They test plants at the gene level to see their effect on cells. Hope that helps, joe

Does evrything cause Cancer?
im not makin fun of it, it is a very serious matter but from what i hear in the news it seems like everything can cause cancer. i just think it is ridiculous whats next food can cause cancer?
Answer:
Food already causes cancer, and is likely the source of many other diseases, such as arthritis, diabetes, etc. The food most people eat today is not natural at all. Almost all fruit, vegetable, and grain crops have been genetically modified with all sorts of DNA from other species of plants and animals, and foods are loaded with pesticides and fungicides. Most processed foods contain modified ingredients (read the label on ANY prepackaged food you have in the house-it likely has at least one ingredient listed as "modified", such a corn starch, etc. The fruits and vegetables you buy may look normal, but if they end up in your local market, its because they have been mass produced by companies that are only concerned with their bottom line, not the consumer. Cabbage, for example, has been spliced with the DNA of scorpions, to make them more resistant to pests. (google GMO foods for more details) Next, the food supply is LOADED with preservatives, chemicals, artificial colors (red food color is made from crushed cochineal beatles-google carmine) and other unnatural things. Commercial milk and meat are loaded with steroids, growth hormones, and antibiotics, all of which pass into the meat, milk and eggs. Check out factoryfarming.org for more info on that. So if you think food isnt already the root of these illnesses, think again. The body does not know how to process all of these artificial chemicals and toxins, and most people end up with some type of ailment or another. Before I learned about all this, I was completely crippled and had many chronic health issues. Now that I have switched to an all natural, organic, vegetarian diet, I am completely well. The only time I have an issue, is if I eat something I shouldnt. I was blissfully clueless about the state of our food supply before-its shocking what really goes on in the food industry.

Does everyone as they age have to have gray hair? If not, why?
Answer:
No it's a genetic thing. Most people's genes dictate that they start losing pigment once they get older. BUT then you have some people, like both my grandmothers, who still have their natural color well into old age. (One passed away a few years ago but the other one is still alive %26 85.)
Not everyone shows it, but almost everyone has them. Darker haired people tend to show it earlier and more frequently. Lighter haired people have them, but are hidden within their natural color. Gray hair typically comes from stress. Be it in life or the tolls the human body goes through with age.
Gray hair is caused by the lack of pigment. It mostly happens as we age. Most of it is genetic. I guess it is possible for someone to have no gray hair, depending on how long they live and their genes.
actually, it really depends.
for one thing, different people have different hair colors, people who have red hair, they obviously are not going to get gray hair.
and for asian people, their hair is black, when they get old, they don't get gray hair, they get white hair.
but eventually, as people grow older, their hair color will change, whether it is gray or white.
it depends on the genes that person has, and also the food, the lifestyle that s/he has, it all depends, no one has figured out why and how.
My hair is not gray. (Don't tell anyone but shoe dye does a great job) I really have it done by a professional.
Does every daughter look like their father?was it a truth??
Answer:
Not me, i'm the spitting image of my mother.
Not at all... my daughter looks like me, and my son looks like his dad. Both my sister and I look a lot more like our mother than our father. It's a toss up with every child - you look like one parent or the other, or you look like neither. Genetic crap-shoot.
Yes cause I look like my daddy. Guy's mostly looks like their mother. It is indeed a truth.
my sister and i always talk about this topic. who do we look like? we both say that we look like our dad, but some say i look like my dad, my sister looks like my mom.
however, i don't think i look like any of them. go figure
It is generally the truth. Men usually look like their moms and women generally look like their fathers. This is indeed not always the case. I look EXACTLY like my dad (in a girl way lol) but my sister looks exactly like my mother. it all depends
i have 4 kids, my daughter is mirrored image of me, has my personality to(good and bad) son #1 looks like me and acts like his father, son #2 looks his father and acts me and son #4 looks like me and has my good points and his daddies good points(me and his daddies personality) to your question no.
not true. my son look like his dad and my daughter look like me.
Nope, my daughter %26 I look so alike, it's almost as though I had her myself!

Does eating toothpaste make you sick?
does eating toothpast make you sick(as in a fever or something)
Answer:
dont think so but try it
Not really.
I swallow my toothpaste all the time and I am still alive.
no
Why would you eat toothpaste
when there's chocolate in the
world ?
probobly considering it tells you to call poison control on the warning label if you swallow a little bit.
as long as you are not eating it in amounts like a snack, lol. then no it wont make you sick,.when i was a nanny my 2 boys got into the toothpast and ate some, we called the doc and he said no it would not hurt them but to make sure it wasnt an on going thing for them..it wasnt, they were just being sneaky little ones and decided to try some..
If the toothpaste is from China, then yes, it could make you sick. On the news last week, they told of possible antifreeze in the toothpaste and stopped all toothpaste from China, coming into the US. Yikes!
no but when i was a baby i ate a whole tube of it before my mom caught me and now i have permanent discoloration i think it permanent anyway
I understand that toothpaste does have an abrasive (somewhat like sand) in it so I would be careful if I were you not to swallow to much of it.
no i use to love eat toothpaste nothing is not going to happen to u k
Fluoride is poisonous in high doses. You would have to ingest over a full tube to become ill.I wouldn't recommend doing that.

Does eating raw mushrooms give you kidney stones?
My Dad has always gave me a hard time about eating them because he said he read something one time saying they give kidney stones. I eat alot of raw veggies.
Answer:
eating too much calcium can, but not the shrooms
i dont think so
I don't know about Mushrooms, but I heard eating to much spinach will give a person kidney Stones.
==================/
Certain foods may increase the risk of stones: spinach, rhubarb, chocolate, peanuts, cocoa, tomato juice, grapefruit juice, apple juice, soft drinks (which are acidic and contain phosphorus), and berries, due to high levels of oxalate/ oxalic acid. In the United States, the South has the highest incidence of kidney stones, since it is a region where apple juice consumption is very common. Other drinks are associated with decreased risk of stones, including wine, lemonade and orange juice, the latter two of which are rich in citrate, a stone inhibitor.
~faith
Not that I have ever heard of but eating peanut butter and soy does...your body cannot break the protiens down in legumes...if you add olive oil and lemon juice it helps...but I have ran health food stores for years and only heard good things about mushrooms, and I eat them alot and have no kidney stones.and have never heard of anyone who has got them from mushrooms...
I've never heard that one. Kidney stones can be caused by several things, however. Some are formed by calcium. Some form when the body doesn't rid itself of waste products in the urine. Drinking good water, cranberry and prune juice are all great to help prevent kidney stones.

I've never heard that one. Kidney stones can be caused by several things, however. Some are formed by calcium. Some form when the body doesn't rid itself of waste products in the urine. Drinking good water, cranberry and prune juice are all great to help prevent kidney stones.
Does duct tape really work on warts??
I need to know if this really works! HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?!?!? I don't want to put duct tape on my foot for months!
Answer:
Yes, I know someone who actually tried it. She also got some clear nail polish remover and put that over the wart, and then when it dried, put duct tape over it. It took about a week.
No; warts are caused by a virus. Generally, they need to be burned or frozen off by your doctor; he/she can use a local anesthesia in the office.
